Turnout was good at the Swap Meet Saturday night, despite the snowy weather.

I am so bummed I missed the show, Mama Mia's and the swap. Stuck in my plow truck all day and into the night. Great year for plowing snow=more toys for the boat. LOL

I hope everyone had a great time. I was in touch with people at the show and swap and they said it was a blast. My blood and heart are better off skipping that garlic bread soaked in grease. But do I miss the taist of that, pizza and beer.

Swap was great with some great deals on lures, rods and reels. It looked to me like we had more people than in past years, by far more lures. I picked up 6 baits for $30.00 to add to the arsenal, not like I really need more but at $5.00 a new super 10 suick in the box how can you resist.

Good to see everyone again and share all the stories about the past year on the water.

Thanks for taking pics, Slamr. Very ggod turnout this year. More swappers and socialites attended this year, and they had alot more stuff to swap. The barkeep said they were plenty thirsty, too. He said the biggest seller was beer. Lots of Miller Light, and Spotted Cow!

Congrats to Matt Snyder, who won the door prize drawing for the Fig Rig JawBreaker Rod! Pic to follow.

I beleive we made a dent in the Miller Light stock!!

I gave the kid in the hat (Above Pic) a Ty Sennett Rough Runner & a slew of bucktails for free. The look on his face was priceless. He was funny & negotiated down everything so I caved & gave it away. I wish my direct reports had that drive..

That was Dean that sold you the Suick. I was next to him in the Sennett hoodie & asked everyone interested to make an offer. Most everyone paid what they offered. We spent most of the $ on beer anyway...

43 South was an ice rink & there were cars & trucks in the ditch the all the way to I90. We saw one SUV rollover, they went by us going way too fast for the conditions & 15min later there he was upside down. Lots of tow trucks & police so we figured just keep it on the fairway & don't push it. Didn't get over 40mph until we hit I90, but we made it home without any problems.

I did pick up an 8' All Star for $65... One of the best purchases I made all weekend.

I only ran the cooler into Norm's ankle once on the way up to his room after the pool area closed. Other than that, I was a pretty good driver! But it was a bit foggy the next morning, until a bit after breakfast.

I felt bad for Joe Bucher. He had to eat breakfast alone Sunday morning.

Shep, Thanks for the reel, I really appreciate it. (my son does too) Also, that figure 8 you did with the cooler in the lobby was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Had a great time as usual, met a bunch more people and chatted with the regulars. The Lax booth was directly across from Norm's booth, so needless to say Norm and Saint had me laughing all weekend with their jokes and antics.

Rick Lax, Thanks for breakfast and dinner.
Steve Jonesi, Thanks for being my "show driver"----btw, antifreeze is your friend. LOL
Ken Mathwig, Thanks for letting us stay at your place.
Slamr, Hope those wings were good.

As usual a great time. I enjoy hanging out with some of the really great people I have met up north. I really need to do more of it.
