| What would really be nice for the whole chain and should suit fishermen, pleasure boaters and home owners is
NO WAKE from 9:00 PM - 10:00 AM Monday - Saturday
NO Wake from 9:00 PM - 11:00 AM on Sundays

| Keep dreaming! I would bet the fisherman represent a small percentage of sticker sales for the waterway agency. Those yahoo's who like to run around with their hair on fire and the other yahoo's who like to ski through all the shallow areas and rip up the weeds will have no part of that idea. |

| According to the infamous quasi-goverment institution called the Fox Waterway Agency, there is not a 40mph restriction on Grass Lake. They are rebuilding an island on the lake which may require them to marker some areas with restrictions temporarily. |

| I doubt those no wake proposals would work, but they are a great idea. I know Len Szulc who fishes the PMTT is on the FWA board and I bet he would at least bring up subject because it is a fair proposal. Anyone else have any suggestions? The saying of "The squeaky wheel gets the oil" is true, maybe this thread can start something.

| I would think that if we had support from Home Owners on the lake(s)something like this may be easier to get passed.
Any Thoughts ?

| Realisticly, i like Johnmd's idea. A no wake for a certain time frame would be nice since a full time no wake is a pipe dream (at least more of a pipe dream). Len is on the FWA board? HMMMMMM. A muskie fisherman on the board. The guy is a riot also. |

| Yeah he is on the board, at least the last time we talked about Grass Lake's Islands. He is a laugh too, always has some good stuff to say but definately an advantage to have because he would support the No Wake time zones and has contacts to many of the home owners of the lakes. You are right the Agency and the homeowners would out-weigh the boaters so it isn't too too far fetched.

| The FWA said there wasn't any restriction on Grass Lake. Due to the work being done out there, they do have the buoys up - some "no wake" some "no boats". Just keep an eye out. |

| The no wake idea is good. Silver Lake has a no wake 'til 10:00 and it works out pretty nice. The only problem is the ramp gets a little busy right at 10:00. All the fishermen are trying to leave when the pleasure boaters and jetskis are just getting on the ramp. Even the cop leaves at 10:00. I guess it's just too dangerous out there once the yahoos can fly. |

How do you achieve a minimum of 40? Do you need a running start from a different lake? [:p] |
