Posts: 2112 Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | Rick came into the shop on Friday bearing gifts, and what gifts they were! He gave us a rep of Tom Gelb's massive, last mintue catch of 2006. as well a a rep of a fish that went 45 pounds! My photo skills do not do these Reps justice. Rick's, as well as his crew's work, never ceases to amaze me. See through gills, and semi-transparent fins are a testament to Rick's passion for his craft. Thanx again, Rick! Posts: 401 | Sure wish I would get a fish worthy of having Rick do a reproduction. I feel some big fish in my near future but they are going to be mini muskies (smallmouth) on the Mississippi. Keith

Posts: 32890 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Great fish, Rick! Rick fishes muskies and knows what they are supposed to look like, which is one of the reasons Rick's reproductions look so good.

Posts: 2112 Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | Funny thing, Folks at the store say, "oh, that is way to big of a bait for a musky to strike". Then I hold up a pounder, Hang ten, a 13" Suzy, or a Depthraider to one of the Rep's mouth. Then folks get the perspective that, to one of those class of fish, nothing you can throw, is really too big. not even a mouthfull. Rick, we (you and I) were too concerned about Gelb's fish (which is normal, considering the mount!) Can you give us some background on the 45#, please?
