Posts: 726 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Looking to bring a large group to Cass Lake and would like to hear from those of you who know the area about good places to check into. Who do you recommend and why? You can email or pm me if you'd like. Thanks, Jono

Posts: 5874 | Break on the Lake. Great accomodations. Nice people that run it. No Shady Moons there to worry about anymore. We stayed there for the MF outings, and I think everyone will agree, it's a really great place. Edited by Shep 8/27/2007 10:24 AM

| Check out Cass Lake Lodge. 218-335-6658 Great owners, covered boat slips in a protected harbor, and quick access to the "Big Lake" | |||

| I have always had good luck with Stoney Point Resort, but we also use tents, however they do have cabins.. | |||

Location: Athens, Ohio | Birch Villa is supposed to be nice, too, or stay at the casino and drive over to the lake. Break on the Lake handled our large group very well in the East facility cabins, which were awesome. m

| I just got back from Cass - go to Birch Villa. Great facility - the harbor and covered boat slips with power are the best - shielded from wind on 3 sides - cabins are modern - Mark Knows Cass Muskies. I got a 491/2"er last monday and KRand gt a fat 48 in the PMTT. | |||

Location: Hayward WI | I stayed at Birch Villa a couple of weeks ago, in the 6 bedroom cabin, or should I say house! Everything was brand new, appliances, washer/dryer, TV w/cable if you want, a really nice place to stay. I'll second the covered boat slips, no dew covered boat and power right in your slip. Posts: 100 Location: Bemidji/Cass Lake | Birch, Break and Stony are the biggest. Stony can be a bit more geared towards a "lounging" vacationer. All are close to good fishing as all ends of Cass hold fish. Others you could look into are Anglers Beach or Wishbone. Later Sackett

| By far the best place is Birch Villa. Mark and Karrie have done magic with this resort. Cabins are all new and Mark knows the lake like no one else. If you are into muskies his resort is for you. Covered boat slips are truly a pleasure. Power at each slip is there for you also. I have been going to this place for over twenty years till I bought my own place 4 years ago. I was just there for a visit with some friends there and could not believe what Mark has done with the new lodge he is building. Location on the lake is perfect also. You do not have to go far for good fish. Right out front is a pretty good spot. If you go here, I am pretty sure you will not be dissapointed. Tell him Glen recommended you and have him show you where five trees is. Nice fish in that area. | |||

Posts: 726 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Thanks Glen. I have called and emailed Birch Villa in addition to some other resorts that have been recommended. I'm waiting to hear back from them. Much appreciated, Jon
