That is if you knew it would happen for sure. I would be some of us would get crazy for a mid 40's.
How about a 50-incher? |

Location: Madison, WI | Heck i'd go about anywhere for a legal fish right about now.. But I was driving an hour and half for this summer to fish pewaukee with a buddy. Probably made the trip 40 times in 4 months. |

Location: Ogden, Ut | Well, last summer I went about 1800 miles to the Goon on that quest; no 45" fish, but I got something better - I met a bunch of you (and you know who you are) and made some life-long friends. Next summer family vacation in Minnesota; I'll slip out for a few and chase muskies and see a couple of the aforementioned friends. Aside from that, I drive 8 miles up the canyon several times a year on that oddessey...at present, I'm within 1" of that goal; I figure I have maybe another 3-4 trips this year before ice prevents boating, then a 'short' wait until latter March when the journey begins anew...

Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | Next year, I'm looking at driving maybe 1/2 hour at the longest. With 3 proven lakes in this area the 10 hr+ road trips are over. My week this next year is to pound the snot out of these lakes the way I did LOTW and Cass, there's some big fish here and all they need is time. Looking to fish with you Extreme One, Sluggo and Theedzs.

I'm still in my earlier years of muskie fishing and haven't seen the amount of water some of you veterans have seen. So i'm pretty much game for anytime/anywhere... Well just as long as the wife says ok..  |

Location: Watertown, MN | Mike what is far, after putting 40k in miles on my truck last year everthing seems close. My son and me made a trip to indian lake chain ontatio for 6 hours of late fall trolling, he caught a 38" fish, it was great to just to get on the water with my boy and have him hook up. He loves trolling the lake(caught first musky there), pretty much been automatic for us.

| I'll travel forever to fish new water for muskies, and I would do it twice to boat a 45"er. For a 50"er, I would do it three times with a long hemmeroid caught in the truck door the whole time.
Last summer I went almost 3,000 miles round trip to catch two Panic shows, Maxx Cabello (thanks Essoxbabe) and single fish, a 43" from Mille Lac. The fish was the only one I boated on the whole trip, but, truth be told, I spent more time catching a beer buzz than hunting for muskies.
I did catch a couple tripping guys while walking around the 10,000 Lakes Music Fest campground. My biggest was 6'2". I was night fishing and the strikes came between 1:00am and 3:00am. I was casting a small multi-colored strobe light on my jig and creature rod. I had lots of follows, too, but a "catch" was defined as bringing the guy to a rod's length away from me before he figured out what was going on. This is true, ask PapaJo, he called it "Ranger Fishing for Freaks".

Location: Southern W.Va. | 45" is my biggest ever, not a monster but a nice fish. I drove from southern W.Va. to Lake of the Woods, how far is that? I'll do it again someday.
