Posts: 561 Location: Monee, Illinois | I like the Huges Rivers, SS Shad had some nice new colors and a new size. The one I really thought was HOT that I liked was the Reef Hog. What do you all think? pga

Posts: 149 | Well we really cant answer that now can we? At least not until softwater. I thought the most promising new designs were the Musky Innovations Superfreak and their new topwater. Their new crank looked appealing too. They should change the format of the show and run the pool demo earlier. That was pretty darn good to see things in action.

Posts: 149 | I will add this though... Thorne Bros. did the right thing by running a number of specials. They required some investment (5 baits or more, big bag, etc.) but they did offer a discount. Unlike some other MUSKYSHOPs that refused to bargin. I don't know how many trips I made back and forth between the two boths comparing things. Thorne Bros. will be my first I-net stop going forward.

Posts: 667 Location: Roscoe IL | Lee Tauchen's baits are fantastic, I picked up one of the Plop Plop he makes as well. Picked up the last Weagle at R&H for 24.99, didn't think it was a bad price. Most custom baits are around the same price range, it's not like Cady's going to get rich making baits anyway. As far as color on the Weagle...... WHO CARES IT DOES NOT MATTER TO THE FISH!! I like it though, the white dot on top should make it easy to see.

Posts: 1023 Location: Lafayette, IN | I don't know Leon Pastika personally but when I saw him tying bucktails last year and read up on their family history I was really captivated. Something about his work really drew me and I don't think I'll ever go to a trade show again without taking some of his work home. You have to be passionate about something like musky fishing and bait making to have produced as many hand tied bucktails as him. I'm the proud owner of 3 new buldging boo tails. C'mon warm water!!! Posts: 72 | Thanks for the kind words Twitcher. Something that we really don't promote is that if you are a Muskies Inc member, we will give you a 10% discount on all your lure purchases either on-line or if you call an order in. For on-line orders, just put that you are an MI member and your membership number in the comments section when you check out. We like what MI does and this is our way of supporting the members. Now that the show is over, and I have the time, I will be starting to update our website with all the new products. It will take some time and will be a gradual process, so keep checking back. As far as my favorite new baits, the new Uptown Dawgs far exceeded my expectations. The super soft plastic and flat bottom made this thing move in the pool unlike any Dawg I've seen. Drifter/Musky Mania had the largest number of new things and I really like the 14"Jake, 13" Jointed Believer and the 12"Super Believer. I'm also going to try the 7"Doc and the 10"Jointed Super Stalker. Last, but not least, the Holcombe Magnum Globe and Magnum Double Trouble Stomper (Mag DT). If it is a normal year, I am willing to bet there will be AT LEAST 10 fish over 50" caught between the both of them!!! The new DeLong Kil'r Eel and Giant Witch colors will definitely get the fish's attention. Thanks for a great show, Brett Erickson www.thornebros.com
