| One 35" fat fish on saturday in five minutes. That was it for saturday and nothing caught on sunday on the fox chain.
My bubble was burst on sunday when a fellow musky hunter went by in a misty river just like mine. I thought I had the only one.[:)] [:0] [:(] [:((] [;)] [:praise:] |

| Not a thing Friday Saturday or Sunday. Surprisingly, after talking to everyone that was muskie fishing, just before I left two people told me that they caught one on a bucktail shallow. I saw them casting bucktails shallow earlier...really shallow right up to the shore. Earlier in the day I did have on trolling very deep on a believer. I lost it close to the boat:( But weird that they'd be so shallow and deep? |

| I had the best and worse weekend ( well 5 days ) I remember. I skunked 2 days in a row Friday and Saturday ( first time with clients ) but boated #102 and #103 of the year on Sunday. #99 and #102 were fiftys and #101 a fat 46.[:sun:] There was 2 mid 30s fish squeezed between the fattys.
Man water temps are still at 47 and holding. Fish can be anywhere with all the cold fronts we are getting right now.[:sun:] |

| I caught a 40" on Caldron Falls, Sunday. Middle of the Packers forth quarter on a sucker. We were in 26' of water and the sucker was 12' down. I was using a Willie's planner board for a bobber. I think I have this planner board thing figured out. I replaced the rear snap for a red Off Shore clip and when I set the hooks the board came right off. After the release we just went back and picked up the board. Only thing is, to be legal I left the electric out of the water and then wind conditions must be just right to use planner boards(legally).
I think using one of these clips on a regular bobber would also help to make the bobber easier to remove. That is if you don't want to use a slip bobber.
What a great day to be on the water and the catch made it even better. |

| Lake was turning over were I fish. Did however get a good strike from a sumerged tree though. Gave it my all when setting the hook and sent my baby depth raider coming straight at me at about mach three. Thank god the trolling motor was there to block it. Or should I say break it?? Oh well At least I got to throw it for about an hour before I destroyed it. The weather was to nice there must have been every boat in the state on that lake. Don't these people have yards to take care of????[] |

| ...good weekend well Sunday anyways. Saturday I had to spend the day at work and Sunday we got a 38" and a 40". One on a sledge and the other right before dark on a bulldawg. The Dawg fish had followed earlier in the day and we went back and she hit again. I am finding that many of the fish this season are rolling alot. I lost 2 fish last week due to rolling but managed to hang on this weekend.

| I had the usual mis adventures of Paul Saturday...I forgot my rod holders,(picked up a cheapy),broke a tail light on the trailer unloading the boat, trolling motor shaft that holds it in the down position came off and had to repair with fishing line and a bunge cord, caught my deep sucker on a Fuzzy Duzzit, lost the cheap rod holder.I am sure there were a few more small things, like getting the suckers constantly snagged on cribs.By the way,NO muskies were seen or caught.Sunday I did yard work.[:((] Good Luck to all,Paul |

| Got Dad home from the hospital on friday, then finally got out on the river for a couple hours of plugg`in!Right off the bat had a upper 40's smoke an Undertaker at the side and missed her![:((] Then not 15 minutes later smoked a 37`er on a Swim-whizzer,on a rock hump 5' at top that dropped right to 11'channel.Both fish came off the same very small structure! For a couple hours of bait slapp`in I was very, very pleased!I thought about winterrizing the boat this week!NOT!Jeff
P.S-This area was loaded with small walleyes![] |

| took dad out friday and we got 39 and 44.5"ers. The 44.5 was the beefiest fish I caught all year, and that made it a fun fight. Both fish came on suckers in 4 feet of water on a river system(about 100 yards apart). Hunted the rest of the weekend. Saw 12 bucks yesterday between 9 and noon chasing like everything. Passed 2 medium 8's, and saw the one I wanted but he would not come in. Headed out now for an all day sit(vacation rules!!!). |

| Jason,
Unfortunately a 30" took home the junk...two other fish boated but after the noon deadline.
Next time I'll have to pay a little better attention to what I'm doing. I could have used that junk pile this winter to tinker with.
Hope you get the 50 on the 10th.

| Drowned $20.00 worth of suckers on a clear cisco based lake, without so much as one click from the reels, even though the cisco were starting to ball up in the 43 degree water. Moved in to the shallow weed bars later Sat. afternoon and picked up two quick mid thirties fish in about 5 feet of gin clear water with very little wave action and clear blue skies on fast moving twitch baits....go figure... |

| Well my crankbait tossing brother showed me how to catch some fish this past weekend. He got into a 34" and 49" muskie on Saturday. He also had about 1/2 dozen follows and got all the action. On Sunday I was able to move a few fish on some jerkbaits and a couple on crankbaits. But no biters. One little shiester tried grabbing a modifed sledge a couple times, but he was just screwing with me. Hopefully I' m able to get into a fatty this coming weekend. Times running out.
catch ya later,
Krappie
P.S. Those darn suckers are still sucking. We had one out all day Saturday with narry a bump. We even had fish swim right past them and not even look their way. Hey Jono I wish I could have your luck on the little muskie sausages. |

| Was out on Bone this weekend with some friends. We got two 38" on Sunday. Both in about 17 feet of water with suckers down about 12. We lost three more on suckers on Friday. Didn't even have a pick-up on Saturday. Nice to get out. It's been a tough year and I'm really hoping to add some numbers to my totals in the next couple of weeks!!!! I'm praying for liquid H20 until the end of the month.
