You see on this site you have to call the weekend fishing report a damage report.. I remember last spring when Slamr crashed his trailer so things like that happen too. LOL

I got the roof fixed and a 40" on Saturday. Took JoMusky and jlong out on Sunday and laughed all day. Listened to the Packers loose and we all were very steamed about it. We saw five fish, some good ones and jlong got a low thirty inch to end the day. Was a good day on the water with some friends.[]

Hi Jason,
I fished with 2 clients today just
after the snow storm. We boated a
41" pike and lost a giant at the
boat. I missed the Vikings kicking
the packers butts!...Go Vikes! []

Scored a goose egg on the fox chain saturday. Did not get out sunday. I believe the lakes were in the midst of turnover.[:((]

My girlfriend got a 20#er yesterday, and lost another smaller one. We had a very nice float down a secluded stretch of my home river. She saw a few eagles, watched muskies chase our suckers around wildly, and saw a 10 point buck that was easily in the 150 inch range to end the day. Oh, she packed a heckuva lunch too, that I subsequently lost while listening to the drubbing the Pack took.

Fished Sunday with Brad Nelson and found the fish shallow after post-turn over. I stuck a 38.5 incher and Nelly got a 34.5 incher...4 and 5 feet of water on a Cobb and a Grandma style bait, respectfully.

What a beautiful day on the water! T-shirts in October rules!

I fished Pewaukee with RunningHot on Saturday. The Slamr Muskie Hunter Partner Network set us up. (Thanks Slamr). Had a great time on a beautiful day. Unfortunately I lost both our fish on suckers [:((] One because my crappy Herbie rig broke on the hook set [:(]

I suck! I fix jm_03 and Running Hot up to fish on Saturday....they screw up 3 fish on quick strikes, while I spend 3 hrs filing at the office. But then again, I caught the same # of fish as they did! Sunday I sharpened hooks during the BEARS VICTORY, and then went out and got Ms. Slamr's wedding ring.....so I guess that was good.
Some day you guys are going to forget that I ran my trailer into a gas station.....but then again, it's been 9 months and no one is forgetting, so maybe you won't!
Perfect weather last weekend, I don't fish, going up North this weekend, and it's going to snow, such a bad cold front coming in......what have I done to deserve this? Oh yeah, the sins.

I''ll bet fishing is just an excuse for Slamr to go to the ballet. If anyone spots the Catfish Cadilac at Weasels this weekend, please report.

Fished Pewaukee Sunday with my 5-yr old daughter. Had one follow on a Reef Hawg, Then later another, This one ate the front sucker with a circle hook. 10 minutes later I had a nice 39 in the net. Daughter took some pictures, probably of my knees, LOL, and then I tried to get a picture of her with the fish. She got a little scared, and said I should just let it go. So no picture of her with it.[:((]

Then, towards noon, as we were making our way back towards Smokies, I had a fish hit the rear sucker. Saw Jason and crew heading towards the west end. Gave the fish 10 minutes. As it got near the surface, I saw the fish, about 34-35". It had the sucker head first, but most of it was sticking out. The band didn't break and I didn't get a hook in it. I twitched the sucker, and the fish hit it again. This time I waited 20 minutes. Reeled up, and it was still t-boned. It dropped it, and then hit it again. Over 30 minutes later, I reeled it in, and it still just had it t-boned. This time, when it let it go, the muskie just sunk out of sight. The daughter was watching this and squeeling with delight. She saw the muskie hit the sucker twice. It was quite an experience, and a lot of fun.[:sun:] Then we hurried home to watch the Packers embarrass themselves. Ugh![:(]

Oh yeah, the night before, after the kids were in bed an hour or so, my wife heard noises from the daughter's room. She went in to investigate, and came back laughing. Seems my daughter was so excited about going with me, she decided to get ready early. My wife found her under the covers with her snow suit on! She said she wanted to be ready so her daddy wouldn't have to wait for her in the morning! She is so cool.[:praise:] [:sun:]

Tight lines all,

Shep

Well on Saturday I had a hit on a 4 or 5 inch walleye lure called a reef runner. (yes it was a muskie that hit it) when i was trolling but, i didn't change the hooks so i lost it with the tiny hooks. So i changed the hooks. I was casting it on a weed patch on sunday and i felt something set the hook and missed it about 5 times it kept following it to the boat, finally i got the hook set right by the boat, but it didn't bite hard so I thought it was a walleye. I got it up and it was a 17-18" bass. Not really what I wanted, but not a bad fish, shoulda used it for bait.

Zach, on that lake you fish try a bagly monster shad. It's about the same size as those crappie in there. I have caught bass and walleye with one. I hooked a monster of a fish towards the dam from the boat ramp but she came off in a firetiger pattern. It almost took the rod out of my hand and it was 50' away from the boat! Get the shallow lipped model ones for over the weeds and the medium divers for open water, trolling and the edges.

I fished my home river Saturday and got a big zero, not even a follow.Sunday I fished Lake Eau Claire like I owned it,seemed like someone stole all the fish until 3:00 pm.Then,I lost a musky that would have gone 48+,she shook the bait on a power dive. After some swearing and making sure the hooks were ok and sharp, I reddemed myself about 20 minutes later with a FAT 44"er. This was the largest musky I have ever got on a jerk bait( Cobbs Countdown) and the biggest I have ever landed alone.Yes,it was released...It was a great day,or atleast 30 minutes. No action on suckers, the musky were in 5'-6' of water.Good Luck,Paul

No fishing, so no fish. I am on the water Thursday evening after monster walleyes, and may soak a sucker some, never have done that before.

This weekend is the special T Zone deer hunt, so I will be in a tree or my tower stand. Am sighting in my 7mm mag and new 4.5 to 14 Simmons ATV magnum scope(160 grain Nosler partitions/bench rest in the 'tower'), so no way are the two I need to harvest going to get by....shooting 200 to 350, add some challenge to what otherwise would be too easy.[] []
