There's 3 styles of Extractors, for fishing slop nothing beats 'em.
1) Original Large, no maribou
2) Large Maribou
3) Medium Skirted
Lots of color combos.
What I'm fired up about are the new Extractor tails just released today. 8" long, perfect for spinnerbait or jig tails, and I can get 'em in any color I want including yellow. Check them out at the show.

| I have just the spot on Lake St Clair to give these a shot at. Even a hairpin spinnerbait is irritating to fish there but there's muskies there for sure. Any keys to using it or just pull it through the weeds? |

| Steve, given the shallow weedy chain I live on, I am going to pick some up. Wondering if the movement provided by the maribou is worth the extra chance of gathering weeds when throwing in the slop. Maybe one of each? |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Marabou made no difference in weedless behavior I could see, and didn't catch any more fish for me that the original. Most of the hits I get are in the slop or almost instantly when it breaks into the clear. |

| Thanks. Will be giving them a try this summer. Some of the spots I have in mind are heavy cover with pockets of open water and also reed beds where I know there are fish, but are hard to get a lure through, even a big buzz bait. |

| Probably a dumb question but if I don't ask dumb questions I'll stay dumb forever. Do you tone the drag/hookset down with that giant offset shank worm hook? Seems like the no give, Hurcules style hookset we use with other baits would put a lot of twist and bending force on a hook like that. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I ordered some yellow tails for running with 1 ounce jigs and as trailer tails on Violent Strike orange/black 8/10 spinnerbaits. Been over 20 years since I've had a stock of these 8" tails in yellow.

Check out page 42-43 of Moore Lures catalog, as it shows a the reaper tail / creature / shad minnow tails.

Dick bought the company from me and a business partner back many years ago. All designs by my Dad, Jimmy Cairnes and me except the 6" Reaper, that was Harold Ensley. This is a very heavily modified 8" Reaper tail.
The paddle tail in the video is one of mine; that's me tossing the Extractor. I was known for years as 'The Creature Man'.
The jigs in Moores are my design, modified from my Dad's diamond head and the power head, and a couple originals.
I use the original 1 ounce jig my Dad designed and Paul Repka in Rockford built until about 20 years ago. Still have a mold for the 1 ounce swimmer and my Dad's diamond head. Best jigs ever made. If I want to run a creature weedless, I use a Zoneloc heavy duty 6/0 Wide Gap Magnum worm hook and a tungsten slip weight on a 60# seven strand leader.
