| Hey, I have seen some pics on this thread before of guys that have customized their rear casting decks. I have a 2010 Lund Explorer SS. I would like to raise and expand mine. Just wondering if anybody can help me out with some ideas? |

| What are the general dimensions of those boxes, and about how many lures will they hold? |

| I dont have photos any longer cause I dont own the boat anymore but heres what I did and it worked pretty good. Take out the bait box and cover hole with a piece of aluminum. Then extend the deck on each side of the motor to the rear attaching an aluminum plate on each side from deck to transom. Leave opening for the motor. I carpeted these plates to match the boat carpet. I made mine so I could take them out if needed and I could put the bait well back in if I wanted. It wasnt that hard. I had a 1800 pro V at the time. |

Location: Excelsior, MN | Each of the tandem boxes are 34 1/4" L x 24" W x 13 7/8"H (Total Height). Lid overlap is an additional 1" on each. I do not have an exact count of quantity of lures - I would guess somewhere around 300+-. Depends on if they are Pounders or Cowgirls. Customer still owes me photos of them loaded up. Do you have some pics of different drawer sizes? Like a half drawer in some thing about 26L x 10D x 16H with a 3" high drawer. |

how did you take out the bait well? is it not one moulded piece?
Mine had three or four screws holding it on the top side. Then take out the drain that goes into live well, unhook the inlet hose and it should come out. I then used a tackle storage unit to put in the hole in the side wall and cover hole in deck with alum. after adding braces.
I put a brace on transom and one on deck then added alum plates. It worked great. When I went walleye fishing I took out the plates and put the bait well back in. It was nice. That bait well is a waste of space as far as I am concerned. Just taking that out will add some room. |

Anyone ever done anything in the front for a casting deck? I find by self standing on the front of the bow by the troller or the bait well of my pro v on the calm summer days.... really makes it easier to see the follows... |

| Did your bait well have a flange that was under the carpet on the deck? I took out the screws, drain, and fill port and it it very loose but something is still holding it down somewhere

Location: Tinley Park. Fish Cen IL. Bass & Vilas Cty.Muskie | I have a 2005 Lund Rebel( Bye Tuffy ). I want to add a elevated deck on the front of my Lund(maybe 6 -8 inches higher). I am adding an extra battery under the front deck now (2 deep cycles). Any tips on materials to save added weight up front. Thanks. |
