| Has there been a trend lately to utilize more soft plastic baits to minimize the impact hard lures can have on a muskies teeth? I know that I bit down too hard on a jawbreaker as a kid and had to visit a dentist to get the tooth repaired. Can the same thing not happen when we use hard baits? Has the local DNR considered having a musky dentist on staff for when net samplings happen? I hope this doesn't come off as ignorant, as I am really concerned for musky's safety. |

Location: oswego, il | Well they make dog bones for healthy k9 teeth maybe someone should invent a lure that improves a muskies teeth and gums. Maybe even a whitener would help during spawn time no doubt. |

Location: Smith Creek | I keep Crest and floss in my boat right next to the Knipex and jaw spreaders. While you're in there you might as well clean em up and release em in better shape than you caught em. Gingivitis is no joke. Its the leading cause of gum disease in muskies.
And that includes suspended muskies.

| Crap! I was wondering when this rule would be implemented. We need to remove the hooks too! I accidentally stabbed one hook right through the gums and found this hanging off my treble!
