Location: Hayward, WI | I have always used dryer sheets and have never had a problem. I don't know if I would have a problem if I used nothing, but I keep my boat in a pole shed that has dog foot, maybe some feed/grain etc., so I would have assumed mice would be in the building.

Location: Home of the 2016 World Series Champion Cubs | Dryer sheets have worked for me. I dont know if could stand the residual odor of moth balls come spring time. Never tried moth balls. As far as that goes, I cant say if the dryer sheets actually worked or not. Mybe they acted as a placebo more than anything. But at least they dont stink like the moth balls do.

Location: Fishing the weeds | Tried both. Dryer sheets all the way. They work as good as or better than moth balls and, smell a heck of alot better. My boat stays outside and, I have not have a pest problem since I started using them. Pat |

A couple in each compartment and a few around the main floors and it's all set....

Location: St. Croix River, Mille Lacs, | Merry Christmas guys and gals. I had a customer who used dryer sheets abd the four legged destroyers built a nest with them as well as most of his wiring harness. Moth balls have never failed as long as they are placed in a ceramic cup or on a small piece of plywood. As they will melt carpet and some upholstery. I agree the smell is somewhat intolerable............. you should never have moth balls around rods and reels as the odor may repel fish...

Location: N.FIB | my cousin lives in adams by castle rock lake,basically in the country,he has mice in his garage and they do get in his boat from time to time and once in a while they will chew a wire or something left in the boat.He also has a 88 firebird in his garage just sitting that he decided after about the first 4 years of just sitting that he would try to start it.Well the mice made a nest under the hood,chewed some wires and when it did start,the nest caught on fire,he said smoke was coming from under the hood,he was able to put it out right away.The only thing that he will use to try to get rid of them is the mice blocks that he puts in his crawl space under the house. |

Location: N.FIB | it is a big solid block of poison,my cousin says they work great,he uses them in his crawl space,I think he gets them at the hardware store but not 100% sure. |
