Posts: 32955 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | How did the muskies treat you this weekend? I worked Saturday most of the day and then fished with Carri, my daughter (visiting from Colorado), and Keith for Crappies, and fished panfish with Sue Sunday, making sure we had the required amount of nice crappies for a great fish fry tonight with my daughter, son, and grandsons. Missed the SalmonFIRST outing because of the work thing, but Chuck saved me by dropping off a cooler of fillets... How'd you do on the water this weekend?

Posts: 23 | Boated a 40 inch muskie on Friday afternoon on Pike Lake. Fishing in a real nice weed flat. Buddy is still up there and caught two northerns (29 and 32 inches) on back to back casts in the same flat this afternoon. Hopefully he will pick off a big one.

Posts: 34 | I fished the Three Lakes Chain and had a tough time finding fish. Saw 2 fish. Both were eaters. One came unpinned at the net ( 36"- 38") and the other one dog boned a 10" Suick. It was a healthy 40" fish.

Posts: 723 | was up in vilas again, same pattern as 2 weeks ago, lots of fish out deep, but...... still catching fish in the low to mid 30's....... lost one nice one, kept going back to the same weed point into 30 fow, and stuck another one, he went 35, but when I brought him up to the boat, there was an even larger fish swimming right next to him, kinda like a seagull fighting over lunch with another. Was one of the coolest things I have seen in a while. Made me wonder if that was the fish that I lost or there were just that many on that little finger. bulldawgs were the bait once again, my girlfriend did raise quite a few on a home-made cowgirl so to speak. nothing would eat it tho. the peak times for us were high noon, or midnight. go figure!

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | Had a family reunion in Lake Tomahawk at the old family resort this weekend, so didn't get to chase any muskies. Did find and catch a number of really nice LM's with my brothers and cousins though, many over 19" and the largest stretching the tape to 24. I still call'm green carp but man was it a blast. Posts: 457 | Didn't do well, worked three doubles. Though I got to fish a bit today. I try not to chase the muskies in a couple local waters here (NE) as it gets hot fast. We had a cool front move through, though and dropped the temps substantially. Caught three fish today, 32, 32, 34. granted they aren't huge, and they aren't trophy class fish, but they are unique in Eastern Nebraska, and they have teeth.

Posts: 20278 Location: oswego, il | We put 7 in the boat this weekend and I Completely disproved the thoery that big baits=big fish. 4 were dinks eating the bait shown or the perka. Posts: 1061 Location: Medford, WI | Had a decent weekend. Saturday evening I fished by myself locally; caught 2 northern, a 19" bass and had one nice hit, but no hooks. Sunday, a buddy and I headed west and I caught a 43" and a 38.5" musky, lost one other from deep water and had a nice low 40's come and swim beside my dawg for a while. 43" caught on a mag dawg and 38.5 on a phantom. My buddy had a very unlucky day! Had about three follows the first two hours, then when we came back on one of them, it hit the manta but only had hooks in to bring it up, see it was over 40 and watch it unhook itself. Then he's telling me a story a little later and his eyes light up and I hear "Holy Sh^!" and the next thing I saw was about a mid-30" musky come flying out of the water no more than feet feet from the boat and sky up a good 3-4 ft. high and spit the dawg out. Unlucky, but very fun to see the fish we did. Anyone that can get out today...I think it's going to be good. -Jake Bucki P.S. I'll send pics when I get home tonight after work and fishing.
