Any good musky lakes with campgrounds. Is there any near North Twin?

The Hideout is probably available. Good fishing in the area, and if you feel like traveling Eagle River and Three lakes only 40 minutes, Boulder Junction 50 minutes.

I am dropping my kids off at a camp near Suring on the 8th of July and then working my way North for a week of lake loitering. A little overwhelmed with all the options. Trying to make ruff game plan, I have fished Big lake a few times and I know there is a campground. I have family in Ironwood, Mi so by midweek I can get a shower and then I must return to Suring on the13th to pick up the little crumb snatchers. Any lakes you guys think deserve 2 days on. I am attempting to do this on the cheap, so I thought any camp grounds with good fishing would keep me from spending to much on gas. I have been going up North for 30 years and just got into this musky thing in the last 4 years (I only have a hand full of lakes under my belt). Last year at this time I had about 7 fish caught and dozens of misses and follows. This year 1 miss and 1 follow. Here is a pic of my best one last year. Man, I cant wait to fish every waking moment.

This website shows canoe or "boat in" camp sites on different lakes in Vilas county and the American Legion State Forest. Many of them are on good muskie water if you don't mind them being very rustic. Some can be reserved and some are "first come first served"

There is a nice campground on the west shore of Lac Veix Desert. There is excellent fishing there allthough the launch sucks. you could launch at hillside or there is also a launch in Thunder Bay. Hillside has good food and alot of cool mounts. You would also be very close to the Twins, Sand, Kentuck and a gazzillion other good ski waters.

Google Buckatabon Lodge on Lower Buckatabon lake, Conover. You're 10 minutes from the public ramp on North Twin.

There is a nice public campground on Door County with showers if you want to try Green Bay and I really like the campground on Big Lake near the Mani Chain but no showers

Camp Holiday, just outside of Boulder Jct. gets my vote. Lake George is nice, but The Hideout is 2 minutes away, and better. Not "reel" fond of a campground on Lost Land Lake.
Thornapple Campground, just north of Ladysmith is nice.
