Posts: 399 Location: Burton, Ohio | Hey everyone! I did a spin off of a white fish. It is a glider 8" long. Foil base. Lots of flash in the light. Slow sinking. A fun one to do. Lots of epoxy ![]() Take care John Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Posts: 786 Location: Minnesota | When are you going to sell a few of those baits? Those things are AWSOME! My foils still look like crap. And I think always will next to yours. Would love to take that up to Canada this year after ice out for pike. Need a tester? ![]() Very nice! James

Posts: 399 Location: Burton, Ohio | Thanks guys, Jed I guess it like a honey comb type material. There are many materials that can be used below the foil. Believe me I have a ton of them that I have ruined by sanding thru foil or tearing it. Grunt it will come with time. I find out a bit more with each one. Good and bad. Still trying to get them ready for sale. I did put a bait on ebay last week and enjoyed that. I have a rating of one now! LOL I had to show my wife that I could make my boat payments possibly with the baits. Come on spring! Heavy melt going on right now here in Ohio! Thanks John

Posts: 786 Location: Minnesota | Tigger, What did you get for it on eBay? Wish I knew you had it on. I would have bid on it. Shoot me an email next time. You need to start another thread and let us guess on how you do it ![]() My guess: You prep the bait with adhesive and put on your honeycomb material (thin). Then you put down the foil material on top of it (both sides of the bait) and then put the entire bait into a food vacuum sealer and pull a vacuum on it. This gets your perfect dimples inside of the honeycomb. Once dried you pull it out and paint it and lightly remove the high points of the paint revealing the foil. Epoxy/paint a little more epoxy yada yada yada and you show it to us and we are all baffled as to how you do it! Excellent job and I want one! James

Posts: 399 Location: Burton, Ohio | Grunt that is pretty funny! Close though. I don't mean to tease. Just fun to share with you guys. The bait that I had on ebay was not this one. It was that nightmare 10" crank. It went for 46 something. Was exciting to me because it was the first one I have sold. The ebay thing was exciting also. I messed up and didn't put "lure" with the musky part. I had crankbait. I guess it was hard to find. ![]() Take care John

Posts: 786 Location: Minnesota | Tigger, I have sold a lot on eBay. I have found the best keywords for your ad are: Muskie Musky Lure Bait Just search muskie grunt and my auctions should pop up and you can see my titles. I am selling a few this week and next to help drive people to my new Frabill Kwik Kradle net. Those get most of the muskie crowd. I put other things in my titles but I think those four words get the most attention and hits. And of course ALWAYS put a picture in the gallery. I usually don't even look at the auctions without pictures. From the pictures I have seen of your baits you already know how to take a great picture. Either that or you have a great camera. As for money....My first few Grunts got over $40 and the next few under $20 and now they go for the mid/high $20s to mid $30s depending on the day and the lure. Now go look at Novaks baits or some other guys baits and you will see from $20-$100. Novak seems to pull in about $40-$50 on average/bait. I woudl say he is in the top 10% for the basement builders who sell on eBay. I just sell a few here and there now. Mostly to just get my lure out so it will be the one that catches the next world record. LOL I would guess yours would average $40s to $60 but, from what you have said in time it takes you it would not be worth it. James Edited by Grunt Lures 3/10/2007 9:20 PM

Posts: 680 Location: Muskoka Ontario,Canada | James, just curious as to why you are selling your Kwik Kradle? I have one also and love it. It is perfect for holding the fish while you revive it and my girlfriend has no problem netting all my fish when we are out together. Hard to miss with the size of it!

Posts: 786 Location: Minnesota | I just got a Big Kahuna. My Kwik Kradle was new in 2006 and still ahs the tags so I figured I would not take a blood bath on the thing. I just feel more comfortable using the Big Kahuna while I am alone. I can trap the handle and not worry about the fish thrashing and "hopping" out of the cradle end. Now I just have to hope some local guys see it. That thing is huge and I don't think the USPS will even touch it. If I had a box the size of my couch I might try to ship it buy I am out of my bulk Grunt shipping boxes ![]()
