i think its a no brainer question...everybody!!! thats what makes this board great. if i had to pick one person you would have to split it up into different catagorys i think. there are people like gandermtnguide, who have the technical edge covered above and beyond anyone, then theres people like mike hulbert who hands down can answer about any question you may have on musky fishing indiana waters, and then some. throw in a ton of others who each have their own way of offering up advise from lure painting to working a particular bait. then theres the mighty fennfenn with fennernet and the world of the packers...oh wait thats another board. anyway i think its gotta be everyone.

It is everbody. But if I had to pick just one person, I would have to say this year its Gander Mountain Guide. From his days of Man of Steel and St Croix Bender on LL when people offered a bounty on him to the days on MH when he was frankenstien trapped in the windmill, to the fine contributor and good person he has become today, he gets my vote.

I had to vote for Hulbert. His info is timely, detailed and accurate (as far as I can tell). When something is out of his area of expertise, he gives opinions and educated guesses; when something is within his realm of experience, he gives out FACTS. He posts many pics and gives out 'hotspots' w/o regard to the possibility of others getting bent out of shape over it. I've never met him, but he seems to be a truly genuine fella - and is gonzo about stickin fish.

He does seem to be a bit prone to self-promotion, however... (sorry Mike)

I'm honored to even be listed, and feel I've taken more than I've given. You all have been very patient with my learing curve and I hope the accounts I can provide of my successes transmit my deep appreciation for all the help.

I had to vote for ToddM. Class acts, everyone on the list. m

What the heck is my name up there for. I must have helped someone I guess.

Thanks for all the great, often un-appriciated, work to those who keep the board up and running.
Thanks for all the input from all who have contributed.

A great Muskie family to be a part of.

p.s. I saw a T-shirt at Gander Mountain thad a Muskie on it and it said "Often caught, Never eaten" Thought it was cool. They also have one I bought for my buddy because it was so funny, It had a super hero looking guy holding a fishing rod complete with a flying cape and mask and had in big words across it "MUSKIE MAN". He got a good laugh out of it.

Thanks again to all and have a Great NEW YEAR!

Zach Boudreau. Without Zach, there wouldn't BE a MuskieFIRST. Thanks for the hard work in 2004, man.

The beauty of this site is that everybody contributes. No one person runs the show nor is any one person the "expert" of the site. There is a ton of good information shared on this site from all corners of the globe. I can attribute a few fish in my boat every year to tidbits I gather from this site, and those tidbits may come from anyone!!

Todd,

You forgot.........

LandOLakes Lunkers

I still get carried away from time to time over on Lake Link...it's the sight I like to vent on, but over the course of the last year or so, I had an opportunity to make amends with a bunch of folks, some even from here, and learned a valuable lesson....You won't learn anything new by constantly talking like a Poo Salesman with a mouthfull of samples. In order to get help, you have to be open to it. Guys like ToddM, muskyhntr, Sworral, Slamr,Cady and alot of others probally know alot more about this sport than me...I want to get to be a better angler and make new friends....I wasn't going to do that going down the same path I was on.

One person I gave a pretty hard time to was Tom Dietz, turns out him and I had some pretty similar circumstances happen to us outside the fishing world....I got to see Tom more as a real person instead of a typed name on a board...I think that's an important thing to remember...there's real people typing these messages, turns out alot of them know more about this sport than I do.

Thanks for the votes people....that meant alot to me.

Everyone adds something for sure, but the chat hosts are really great contributors!
