| Anyone have a recommendation for a favorite solo fishing net? Assuming just go with the lightest, but don't want to compromise on bag size. Almost lost one today managing the net solo. Thanks for any advice! |

Location: Neenah wi | I have a drifter can't remember size but it's large. Coated net deep bag. Made in America. Works nice by yourself the button of the handle has a oar type handle which locks nice in the armpit while multi tasking.

I think I have the XXL not bad to manage solo. The net ting is also really thick on the one I have hook less coating. Doesn't look to be to thick in he photo |

| I like my Frabil 9530 and I do most of my fishing alone. Large but not unwieldy, light and easy to manage by one person.

| I agree with RandalB....if you are looking exclusively at fishing solo the 9530 is the way to go. |

Location: Contrarian Island | I have a big kahuna and a the biggest Beckman, I just replaced the bag on the Beckman with a new bag from Drifter.
I use the Beckman fishing solo and in WI... the big kahuna works, but the Beckman is lighter and easier to handle solo...Big Kahuna for MN and Canada waters where they grow a bit bigger!  |

| You might consider putting a Jigripper for Outdoor Grips on it also. It helps give you more leverage and strength when netting with one hand. |

This works well, the Robo Handle even better as it adds a hoop for your arm to give you even more leverage |

| I have a great Ranger conservation series (rubber coated), very large, yet I net fish of 20 pounds + myself no problem. I shouldn't say no problem it's always a bit more of a challenge when alone. |

| That may be but I wanted to make sure I could take it off quickly to lay the net on my deck when I had a fish in the net. I wasn't sure how easy this was to do w/ the Robohandle. Also, I already had a Jigripper. Both products certainly give you much more strength in your netting arm. |

Location: Oconomowc, WI | I think practice is the biggest thing. I fish solo 99% of the time and use the biggest stow master. Always have it ready and fully extended. I have the jig ripper on it, but normally just use the side of the boat as a pivot point gripping the end of the net and can scoop 'em pretty easily even with a 9' rod. I'll net stupid pike just to practice the whole procedure. Biggest thing for me is making sure the net doesn't get stuck on any cleats or rod holders before I get it over the side of the boat. |
