| Hi guys, my brother is looking for a low profile reel. He is trying to decide between the Curado and the Diawa Lexa 400. Does anyone have any input on either of these? Personally I like the Lexa but I would like to hear what others have to say. Also, what gear ratio would be the best to get? He will be throwing a little bit of everything. Small blades, big blades, jerk baits, and big rubber. Thanks for the help! |

| Curado 300s 6.3:1 have been my go-to reels for several years, and have never let me down. I have a righty and a lefty, and they'll throw 90% of the lures in my box. |

| Im on the NACL train as well. Our Curados dont get used anymore and sold off the LEXAs for more NACLs! |

| I started using the LEXA 400 H last year and I couldn't be happier, it's a great reel, you can throw almost anything with it, you can find them for $178 shipped on ebay if you do paypal...just my two cents |

| I have gone through two Toro's in two years. I keep having a problem with the cast bar becoming almost impossible to engage. I've had a Curado for four years with zero problems. I tend to stick with Shimano for this reason. |

I'm having the same problem with one of mine. Cast bar is very stiff. |

| I like my Revo NACL as well. Very comfortable to hold all day.

| i have the NACL, had a problem with it but cabbalas swapped mine for a new one.. idk what was wrong with it but the new one is great, would tell anyone to get it |

Location: Elk River, MN | I've got a Curado 300EJ and a Lexa 400 PWR-P and I enjoy both of them. The Lexa is on a heavier rod that I use for bigger blades and big rubber and it works great. If you're looking for something that can do it all the Lexa 400H 6.3 gear would be a decent all around reel. |

| I will say the Toro thumb bar is stiffer then the Curados from the get go, but it has not been a issue. It is really stiff if you reel the line up to the point the leader is pressing against the tip top. Leave it a few inches away and it presses much easier. |

| Its only a issue at night when you cant see the swivel until it hits the tip top. Like I said its a bit harder to press from the get go but its a fantastic reel. Curados are great for light stuff but for anything bigish they are a chore to use. |
