I just picked up a Dadsons Boo Dadley at the Chicago Show and it looks great.I wanted to get more but only in the marabou not in the mylar, but they were out of the colors I wanted.Im looking for feedback on some of the marabou models in the 10s and 8s as they seem to have several models. So basically what models are you using and what you like about them, but in the marabou only. Thanks Ray

The marabou holds water so casts well without much lead. Then in the water it has little weight. So use the marabou for when you want a very light bucktail, that will ride right up at the surface at slightly slower speeds. More and more flash tails are being made with a lot of lead so they can be burned in. But a flash tail with only a little lead in it won't cast nearly as well as the bou, especially his Boo Dadley, which lots of bou. Theh dadson blades start spinning quick and keep it from sinking much when it hits the water, so a bou tail you can cast well in a breeze far up into shallow water and run it back above the weeks/rocks at a moderate pace. That's what it's good for. IMO

I got a lil darlin that has twin fluted 6's and a swingin single that has a single fluted 8. The lil darlin was blowing out of the water when I burned it so I added a small weight on a split ring to make it sink and stay down. I could wait a few seconds before cranking but I like to engage em and get em moving right away. Now that I've done a little reading I think I'm goin to take the weight back off and just bend the eye hole to get it to stay down. I absolutely love swinging single. Casts a mile and even into the wind. It pulls harder than I would think I would have but it's not bad by any means. It's probably favorite bucktail. But that being said I'm not really a twin ten guy more of a 9" crankbait and pounder kinda guy. My musky bullet is my favorite twin ten though.

Thanks Travis I thought that swinging single looked like a neat smaller bait. And that musky bullet is a Dadsons also?I was wondering how hard that pulls compared to a double cowgirl?

I use the double fluted 8s. LOVE Dadson blades although they are hard to get and I've tried contacting Dadson a couple times to no avail. They are very easy to pull and I have tendinitis or however you spell it, and I can fish these all day without hurting my wrist/hands. Very easy to pull, Casts like a bullet.

I don't have any double cowgirls. I have bucher Bigfoot tinsel fluted tens that pull harder than supermodel 13s and I have homemade twin tens and a blue fox. The blue fox pulls really hard too cause the blades are really flat. The musky bullet is the easiest, smoothest pulling twin ten I've used. I'm sure tĂȘte are others that use cowgirls and Dadsons on a regular basis that could give a better comparison.

x2.... I tried very hard to pick a couple of of Dadson's up last year to no avail.

I did find a different source who tied up some very nice maribou tails for me which I have been very happy with. ( muskie underground )

Vortex is a really nice bait, the rest I have are the mylar, but they all work great. I have had my best luck ordering directly from them. BR

I have 2 of the Boo Dadley 10s and 3 musky bullets. My favourite blades. The boo and feathers are tied very full and the bait actually floats for a bit if you chuck it in dry. Once wet you can cast it a mile and it moves a lot of water on the way back. I like it for fishing over submerged weed flats and around clumps. Bullets are heavier and work good when you want to fish a blade deeper in the water column, or want a bait that you can really pour the speed on and it wont blow out.

Currently trying to get my hands on a boo in dbl 12's, Kimbo Slice. I'm thinking after dark.

Dadson does a lot of custom stuff - contact him through his facebook Dadson Blade Baits, probably persuade him to build a Kimbo with 12s
