Posts: 1224 Location: Okoboji | I am going to muskie out my osprey 1700. I am going to build a rear casting deck, install some tunes, and maybe try to make some storage in the deck...i was also kicking around the idea of putting a deck extention next to the console. if yall have any pics of your boats with the similar idea going on please let me know... thanks, jason

Posts: 214 Location: Central Iowa | I installed some tunes last year, put in 8" speakers in boxes underneath the rear deck with an amp, 5" speakers cut into the gunnels up front, mounted the head unit and the XM radio stuff below the lid of one of my side storage compartments and hooked up a wired remote at the console to control everything. Posts: 1224 Location: Okoboji | well i have a lot of work to do,,i still need to get my lowrances on ram mounts lol... there is a 4 speaker set and cd/mp3/data player on amazon for like 102bucks on sale, i would probally put the 4 speakers in back like mike did and mount it in the same place. mike is there a reason you used the metal instead of wood?? rotting, weight? i am getting jacked up...all we need now is the snow to melt.

Location: Des Moines IA | I used angle iron and etex coated plywood. I went with the angle iron because my brother in law weighs in @ about 350 pounds, and I needed it to be super strong. I was going to use aluminum, but at twice the cost, and 4 times as difficult to weld, I just stuck with steel. It's not too heavy as I can pull it in and out by myself pretty easily.

Location: Des Moines IA | No plans. All hand fabbed. My brother in law and I did it all in about 3 days.
