Posts: 1184 Location: Iowa Great Lakes | Does this stuff work well enough to spend the money on it? Mainly used for fishing cold fall days like today on the boat. I'm looking at the cold weather compression stuff.

Posts: 167 Location: Minnesota | Under Armor and Nike Pro are awesome base layers for doing nearly any activity outdoor. The Under Armor Metal, Cold Gear, or the Nike Pro Cold Weather is really nice, and they both are very durable.

Posts: 26 Location: Cook, Minnesota On Beautiful Lake Vermilion | Under Armour is the best! I can be outside on a cool day with just a UA layer and a hoodie/jeans. It is awesome for any outdoor activities especially fishing/snowmobiling! Worth the money...there is other brands or generic types but if you want the best go with the true UA you won't be disappointed...

Posts: 199 Location: Sandusky, OH | Always had great luck with UA. Great base layer when cold, great outer layer when it's just a little cool. Cabelas had a bunch clearanced in the bargain cave (online) last month. Eric

Posts: 408 Location: Omaha, Nebraska | Yeah, their base layers are extremely comfortable and live up to their expectations. I have never bought their outerwear clothes such as coats because they seem a little expensive. Edited by DEMolishedyou 11/13/2008 8:46 PM

| i'm slightly confused on which under armour line is the one for activities with little movement like fishing/sitting in a tree stand. Is it the regular cold gear? or what is the tactical? which line/model is the best for a base layer for fishing? thanks their website doesn't really explain it too well imo | |||

Posts: 360 Location: Tinley Park. Fish Cen IL. Bass & Vilas Cty.Muskie | I go to sierratradingpost and get their cold weather underwear. I get tall and like the zipper tops. Wickaway underwear has been around a long time. I pay from $14 to $20 a piece. I must have 20+ tops, lightweight, mid weight(best) and expedition and even short sleeve summer for construction. Underarmour might be a bit on the high end, probably more of a middle of the road wear. There have been companys like Marmot etc for a loong time. I just think these newbees (underarmour wearers) like the name and used cotton bases till 2006. I kinda chuckle when I see guys in Underarmour. Edited by basscaster 11/14/2008 12:41 PM
