The capital City chapter of Muskies inc is doing our annual trip to Eagle Lake (staying at Andy Myers lodge) Aug 30-sept 6th.
We have someone who has a boat and has fished eagle many times before and is looking for a partner to join him (do not need to be a member to participate!).
This is a great outing with big fish time and lots of info sharing going on!

Location: Watertown, MN | Boy wish I could go again, ran into the Madison group last year, good group of stick and they know eagle, definitely a great trip and anyone that can should jump in. Just got back from Eagle last week, six fish total biggest being a 50.25 landed by my son. Had several close calls from some pigs, boy you would think they wouldn;t miss a bait when they get that big.

Just thought maybe stick a 3rd in sled's boat to be a designated fish handler, then there might be no sad stories about the big one that got away. Or they might have an alternative net man if one is asleep at the net.

This SLOB was caught late yesterday on eagle!!! Donnie Hunt's son Weston is up with his buddy Jordan....They scored this one at thier last stop right before dark (looks dark in the pic due to flash...don't start..) 52 X 25.5....over 40 lb fish easily!
So don't come on this trip....no shot at big fish :-))))

| When Weston called last night to tell me about it, he was so calm...I couldn't believe it!!
What an awesome feeling to have your son boating BIG fish....this was their 5th over 47", and 9th over 40" since they arrived last Thursday to stay at AML.
I wait patiently by the phone every night at 10:00 p.m. my time (I'm eastern, AML is central), to get the report from them.
Anyone who can make it with the Cap City crew will have the time of your life. |
