so this last weekend me and my dad were fishing in madison (mendota to be exact) which has an excelent number of muskies but instead of muskies we ran into some really nice northerns. the two biggest ones were caught on sunday in the rain and went 40" and 44" mine at 44" is a personal best

so i guess if ya cant catch some muskies might as well catch these guys (they are close enough)

I'd settle for pike that big any day. Nice fish.

I would take either of those Pike any day! Especially in Wisconsin, you don't catch em like that here everyday!

It has been years since I've heard about open water anglers getting TWO big (40"+) northerns from an inland lake in Wisconsin in one outing. Congratulations on those fish! When Steve gets NorthernsFirst.com up and running, you should have the cover girl fish!

my brother caught a 46" pike on a small lake near Minocqua over Memorial Day this year....It was a monster for a Wisconsin Pike!
