What happened out on the water this weekend? Any fish netted/lost/seen to talk about?

only fished saturday ... warm high winds ... moved a neutral fish in a shallow weed bay on clear water lake near rhinelander around 37ish that wouldn't come back to play ... moved to dark water and contacted 5 fish, one big one all relating to the wind and located on windblown points and sand flats ... fish were most interested in prop topwater baits in the heavy chop, but no open mouths ... just bodies flyin' around.

today had a great round of golf saving a 40 on the front finishing with 4 pars and a birdie after a slow start .... held on on the back with a blowup hole for a 43 .... 83 finish which matches the handicap of old so a good day.

a little evening crappie action with the kids at the spillway tonight with a few nice fish for breakfast tomorrow, but light bite ... just another weekend in paradise!

tomorrown night it's eagle river league on north twin ... only fished it once so will be watching and learning, tuesday night on moen's ... i'm gonna be waiting for my time on the point and never leave once i'm there ... LOL

Lori and I got out for a few hours. Lolleitta had the hot hand today, scoring 5 hits to my one. this was the only fish to hit the net, though. Third biggest Smallie I've ever seen. 24-3/4" long and fat as a guest on jerry springer!

Had a great time fishing bass with the nephews this weekend, released a bunch of fish in the 17-19" range. Were fishing from shore and turned around to see a young bear 15 yards away looking at us. My brother tried to scare it off by hollering but the bear only walked a short distance away and looked at us. Kind of strange seeing a bear not having any real fear of humans.

Craig, not many of the guys on here that are catching fish are going to give up lake names. This was discussed at length on a recent thread. Patterns, lures, structure, etc will be given out but lake names is something else. And yes, many times people do run to a lake mentioned on a web board.

Made it out to Monona over the weekend, and man what a mess. If the algae bloom wasn't bad enough... ...They were cutting weeds too boot. Made fishing almost a chore, every cast you were cleaning your bait off. Then we had some ski boat splitting between us and another boat probably no more than 75 ft of room between us, and he made at least 6 passes!! What do you think is honestly going through guys head? There were at least 7 boats in the area fishing and he was cruising through all of them... What a zoo.

Had a great day of fishing yesterday. I managed to put 3 in the boat 38, 39.5, and 43 and lost two other mid 30's. Speed seemed to be the ticket, burning bucktails and straight retrieving dawgs fast is what was working for me.

Went out to one of the "disclosed" lakes on Saturday and had a hot 37"er follow on a chatter bait into 1.5 figure eights before sunrise. Never fished the spot again becouse after sunrise there were always at least 2 boats on the very small spot (less than 1000 acre lake) and every other spot. My favorite spot was empty but 30 seconds later a guy pulls up 100 yds ahead of me and starts casting, roughly 2 minutes later there was 7 boats on this one weed bed and one ****** that came out of plane in front of me then fished right back across my front to where I couldn't even make a cast.

Got the H out of there and went to a different small lake that has tigers (and no I will not tell the name, sorry. Mentioning Mille Lacs or LOTW is one thing, a small lake under 1000 acres is different) fished that evening and caught one (36) and missed one. Sun. morning caught another 36 and lost another one also. All action came on red/pink bucktails which I had made, and boy is that the coolest feeling when you made the hot bait. My cousin caught one of the fish his first ever and lost one of them, he was jumping up and down and more excited than I've ever seen him so a very good end to the weekend.

Fished WBL for the Hartman event.

Water temp was 67
High sun and decent breeze.

Put on a Pike clinic - They were hitting everything we threw or trolled.

We had a fish that would have place top 10 but lost it boatside before I could get the net in the water.

Had another fish swing and miss on a glider.

Fished the river on sunday my client got his 2nd a decent 36 and five minutes latter i got a 38 I went out solo last night and got a fat 40 river fish. I was out for the first time on Sunday. I took three casts with a jig, then picked up my Bulldawg rod. On my second cast with it, which was my 5th cast of the year, I had a 50-52 inch fish follow. I had another follow from a low 30's fish, caught three Pike, and that was it. Might get out Wednesday night. It's been slow from what I hear. Very hot weather hasn't helped. I think it was 93 degrees today.
