| Went to the madison show. Bought two HR shakers, two other gliders, three hellraiser surface baits for the kids, a bullhead manta and a couple of shad deep divers. I can't stop buying baits.
Got to talk to some musky greats like Steve Worrall, Rich Reinhart, Jeff Miller, Rob Meyers and Jeff Byers. Was a good time so what if I have to sell my body to pay for these baits. Was only .10$ don't know how i will come up with the rest.[;)] |

| Before next year's show season....look at all the new "goodies" you bought this year, figure out how many caught fish, how many had follows on them, how many you cast once and decided it sucked, and how many you just never saw a reason to bring into the boat. Then think of how many of these new "goodies" where a ACTUALLY a good buy, and then hit the swap board with the OTHER crap, get 1/2 the price you paid for them, and get 1/5 as many new "goodies" at the shows, as this money pays for them. Not to make you cry, but I came out over $350 in the positive using that theory after the season ended ugly on the Fox Chain last year. Also, fish the Fox Chain as your last day on the water, will definitely make you want to get rid of all your gear.

| ToddM, look at the bright side, I didn't run into you with a bunch of new custom colors from Slammer Crankbaits! In fact, you got off easy!!! |

| No way I am getting rid of these baits. I can tell they will all work great. I can tell by looking at them. Ok, I have lost it. I still have the green bay, milwaukee and the mn musky show to spend more money. Can't goto the new london show so a little break there. |

| Sponge, I think you have your priorities straight. We're a one income household of 5. We have the terrific luxury of a parent always being around for the kids, but we don't have much extra money. So I was very proud to sneak not one, but two Ernies into the WallMart shopping baskets last week!! Hee hee, they were on special for only $10 each, to boot, but I didn't get caught by my wife anyway. Also, with full disclosure to the wifey, I bought a 7' heavy action All Star on close-out for only $29. Someday I'll do the shows, but in the meantime, thank heavens for the Wallmart fishing department. |

| Sponge, they say sometimes you have to move over to move up. Let us know when you get the job and we'll come down and trash the place so you can get overtime (hee hee!). I moved out of a high-stress job a few years ago and now looking back I can tell it was one of the best things I've done. Wife and kids even speak to me again and don't hide under the couch when I get home from work. The stress will get you dead quick, and these boards would be in serious trouble without your clever wit. Good luck on your bid. m |

| Thanks Ranger + Mikie...I needed to hear that! No overtime Mikie...but you are more than welcome to come down + ostrasize the upper crust! If it works out, I'll start the first of June. 6 + 7 day weeks are more than I can handle + life is too short killing yourself to obtain that which you cannot take w/ you...maybe now I'll have time to use some of the stuff I already have! Thanks again. |
