Posts: 32895 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | A few weeks back I received a package of lures to try out. H20 has a new crankbait called the Cranky Nitro. It's seen enough water time to report now, and it's VERY COOL! It has excellent action with a good side to side wobble and nose to toes wobble, it rises very fast when paused, and BACKS UP some when it rises, making it nearly 'weedless' in cabbage. If you like popping the top with a crank in the weeds, cranking and twitching, or just plain like crankbaits, this one is a must have. Tomorrow night, we try the H2O Tweener, same bait with a slower rise. May the dead sea produce for Sue... Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Posts: 32895 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I'd say about 5' max on a broken retrieve. Haven't tried a constant retrieve or trolling the lure.

Posts: 20230 Location: oswego, il | I have 4 of them, love the action on a twitch and they troll superbly, not only are they good musky baits but other highly sought after fish like them as well like this one did! ![]() Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Posts: 941 Location: Freedom, WI | That is a nice drum Todd. On the maiden trolling voyage with the cranky we boated a nice Catfish and a 45" Muskie. The Cranky and the Cranky slow rise is on my site. The Tweener (runs a little deeper than the cranky but rises faster than the slow rise) is one I am working on along with a few others (Howie Meyer as a rubber tailed version to play with). I will try and attach the pictures of the fish. Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]()

Do they have a web site and on-line ordering? I love the slow rise tchnique, just like with a Suick. So many strikes on the "back up".

Posts: 4266 | Watched the video, and when I saw that black one just hang as it backed up slowly, I knew that was the one that I would pick. I love cranking deep bars and edges, and when I bump something, I just stop it dead and let it work itself free and float up. I can see a pig or piglette just inhaleing that thing while it hangs there almost suspended. Nice looking lure. Beav

Location: WI | Steve you are right this is one awesome crank bait, both the fast and slow rise have incredible action, as Roger mentioned we broke them in the first trip out testing them last fall with a couple of muskies including a chunky 45" and a BIG cat the picture doesnt do it justice. I cant seem to keep walleye away from these things either. And these things will troll at very high speeds without blowing out, I have had them up to 9mph with no issues. Every one of my fish on Green Bay so far this year have come on the cranky nitros. Crank them, twitch them or troll them, these things are HOT! With the new epoxy Roger has started using they are nearly indestructable, been banging them off rocks, bounching them of docks and boathouses and I cant chip them. Its already become a go to bait in the rotation. I also have one of the rubber tailed prototypes and everyone who has seen it has tried to wrestle it away from me, hope he gets to making some soon as I pretty much have to sleep with mine to prevent it from dissappearing from the box. Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Dang, the secret is out...LOL. I love the crankys, especially the one that roger made for my new daughter in the Emma pink color!! I loved the slow rise this spring, and was cranking this thing to 8' on a long cast in the river here. This thing will litterally walk the dog like a regular Nitro with the proper twitches. The fast rise has quickly become a fav. of mine this summer too, for its ability to rise up out of weeds, and bust through them too!! Some nice fish already fooled on this lure trolling and casting, has it in the regular batting order most times out. i like the fact that he makes the slow rise out of American Beech. Love that wood!!

Location: WI | Rockin' SV I have a couple that get down to 10+ ft. but for the most part between 6-8 feet on the crank, deeper if you are trolling them. I do have one though that bumps bottom in 12 fow, it was one of the prototypes, cant figure out why it gets so much deeper though but Im not complaining. With wood you never know its not as predictable as plastic.
