Posts: 32979 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | A full field of teams left the dock this morning at 7 am under clear skies, frosty temps, and light winds for the KWM out of Gerrits Lakeview on Pelican Lake, WI. 5 Muskie have been registered from 36.5 to 41 in a flurry of activity as the tournament got underway this morning. Nick Alden busted a 38.25 on his first cast this morning. The bite is on so far! Watch for a report from the water as soon as the fog clears. The KWM runs 7 Am to 5 PM, then a dinner for the entire field is served leading up to awards and an absolutely wild raffle benefitting the Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield, WI. 100% of the entry fees are returned to the top placing teams, and all other proceeds are dontated to the Ronald McDonald House. Posts: 32979 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | There's at least four doubles and another fish was just reported. Looks like we are on near record pace for numbers this year. At this time there's 24 registered, and fishing is over for the day. 111 teams fished today today, and most are almost or are off the water. The payout this year will be better not just because of the larger field, but also because of Gerrits hard work acquiring sponsors. Posts: 32979 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | We will know in a couple days, money still coming in as of late last night. Really fun event, even for the judges. I can't thank everyone donating or buying raffle tickets enough, tremendous response from sponsors this year! | ||

| Drove past Pelican on Saturday about 9:00 AM, on my way south. Pretty cool to see all those boats out there. Organizers should be proud of that turn out. | |||

Posts: 290 | The Ronald McDonald House wrote this on Facebook . Thank you to everyone who helped with the tournament!! Donations and community support are critical to RMHC and allow us to continue our mission of keeping families close to their sick child. On September 9, Gerrits' Lakeview hosted their 26th Annual Kevin Worrall Memorial Musky Classic to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Marshfield.
111 boats caught (and released) 24 muskies! $9,834 was raised that will directly benefit our families and their most basic needs.
Thank you Gerrits' Lakeview and Kevin Worrall Memorial Musky Classic for your continued support of our families. Generous donations allow us to provide 24/7 hugs and kisses for Marshfield's smallest patients!
Save the date for next year's musky classic on September 8, 2018.
