Location: Minnesota | How far are you willing to drive for a day of fishing? Last weekend drove 3 1/4 hours one way for 3 small pike . Now if I put a musky in the net it would have been worth it. but most of my day trips are within 2 hour drive. |

| I have driven 4.5 hours round trip for 5-7 hours of fishing many times. half a day to me leaving at noon or so quitting at dark so I can be back at work by 6am |

| My old man says if you can fish twice as much as the drive it is worth it, but sitting here at work right now I would drive the rest of my shift (6 hrs) to sit in the boat with my wife and kid for 10 minutes. Kris |

Location: Elk Grove Village, IL & Phillips, WI | I drive 5 1/2 hours on a Friday night to fish all of Saturday and half a day Sunday and then drive back 5 1/2 hours again. Well worth it. |

x2. Have driven this distance many times - Cave Run, Green River & Clearfork (OH).
When I had an unusually ambitious partner, we'd leave here early Thursday & start fishing in Vilas Co by dinner. Fish all we could until Sunday PM, leaving just in time to make work on Monday. Good times! |

Location: Northern Wisconsin | I guess I am spoiled since moving to N Wi. An hour away is about as far as I go for a day trip. Usually opt for the 10-20 minute lakes. |

Location: Iowa | I'll Drive 8 hours on a Friday to fish whatever is left of Friday, Saturday and the majority of Sunday and then 8 hours back on Monday. 16 hours of driving for 24 hours of total fishing time. |

Location: Nebraska | Around here everything is a drive. My limits are:
3 hrs one way for a weekend
5 hrs for a 3 day weekend
8 hours for a 4 day weekend
Just bought a house on Bull Shoals lake in Arkansas so we are going to be doing the 8 hour one-way more often now. |

Location: oswego, il | Used to leave.at.3am for a.3.5 hour drive to Indiana fish unail dark and get home 1am for a day trip every weekend. |

| Have driven many times to NW WI for a quick weekend with my two
son in laws. Leave Friday evening around 5:00 and arrive midnight.
Fish all day Saturday and on Sunday till around 3:00. Pack up and
Home by 10.00. Always a great time and even better when we land
a fish or two. Anything's better than being home when you can be
on the water. |

| Last weekend I drove 4 hours one way to fish LOTW. Planned to fish 2 days but got stormed off early Sunday so it turned into 8 hours of road time for a day trip. |

Location: NE PA | I have done 2 separate day trips to the Allegheny leaving the house at midnight and returning around 10pm the same day (4.5hrs each way), but prefer to keep it under 3hrs.

| 3 hours is about the max for a one day trip for me. Luckily for me that covers almost all of MN musky territory, and with these temps right now it's necessary  One of these thunderstorms is going to kill the heat... Eventually |
