Does anyone know of somewhere to find a crankbait that simulates a crappie in shape and color?  I remember seeing one that did at the Chautauqua outing last August but I don't remember who was selling them and I can't think of any others out there. Thanks and tight lines!

I have a "Slab" crankbait made by WaterWolf baits in WV....it looks just like a crappie.

Also www.tackleboxohio.com, the 6" Pearson Shallow Diving Shad in crappie color.  They're nice twitch baits.

Try www.hawgseekers.com

Ron Bentley makes these and the shad body style in Crappie color looks more like a crappie than a crappie does...:)

Yep....good spring twitch bait. When everyone is throwing 6" Jakes and Grndmas I throw it...it's gives them a different look that'll usually pay off.

I have a great crappie twitch bait.  It's from Crazy D's.  I don't know what it's called.  I got at the MuskieFirst outing on the Cave a few months ago.  It has a great twitch action though.

I'm gonna throw it some more this spring.

There is also a crappie colored Crane Bait as well. It comes in a few different sizes.

Divani shipped a crappie shaped glider  last year that runs like a watch, will be throwing it alot this year. Got a 44 on it late on Pelican last year. I would bet that if one begged enough, he might be able to figure out how to put a lip on that thing.

I think Salmo makes a crappie look-a-like, I have seen their bluegill in action, very nice looking bait.

stever, do you have a pic of that 44"er? I'd love to see it, everybody forgets to take pics of fish they catch on one of my baits.

Hi,
I really like the crane 105! It is short and fat, twitches very well and has a very nice wobble. Trolls really well also. The typical crane white and black is pretty close to a crappie. I took a black permanent marker and added some odd shaped spots and bingo.
give it a try
kly
here is a look the first is the 105 the second a 104 but the color I mentioned

Steve,

Could you send me a pic of the bait? I asked Dirk and he didn't have a pic of one.

Thanks!

Pat
