Posts: 734 | I am looking to pick some up and was wondering what people think about them. I have heard nothing but good things, but anyone will tell you that about anything, Just any info or experience would be great.

Posts: 502 Location: Lincoln UK | Muskyjay, get some, Joe makes what I consider to be one of the finest sets of baits being made.Superb actions and beautiful finishes. My pick of the baits are Guppies but love his hustlers and Humpbacks too. He stands behind all of his baits. Lots of comments say how good the paint/finishes are but if he produced a poor finish I'd still use them for their great and unique actions . Money very well spent.

Posts: 20219 Location: oswego, il | I have a guppy and really like the bait. I also have a hompback and the jerkbait which I have not thrown yet but if they work as good as the guppy, I will be happy with them.

Posts: 734 | I just got an order of Hughes and I don't think that I am that impressed. I guess you can't always judge by looks. We will see how they are in the water

Posts: 502 Location: Lincoln UK | Guppies, baits that provide a pan fish type profile and can be worked very fast (my fave) or slow, crank well between jerks too, move lots of water. Hustlers, lovely glide, great shimmy and the big model has a fantastic double action turn in on the glide Humpbacks, I'd say a slower action to the others but very little effort to get them moving, nice glide and shimmy. All have a nice shimmy to them and do not pop up at all.If I was buying my first Trueglide knowing what I know now it would be a foil Guppie as you can make it do anything you want apart from swim the other way. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b329/hectordog/mftrueglides.jpg Edited by chico 3/6/2006 6:09 PM

Posts: 2427 Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | Joes makes some great lures that is for sure. He is a hell of a nice guy, and his lures are top notch. I can't wait to get my hands on a few of his "Stud-Finders" You can't go wrong with a True Glide.

Posts: 734 | His baits are awesome. I just got some at the Blaine show. It is nice to get them right from him, One of the nicest guys to talk to, not high on himself like a lot of others. I actually spent most of my time at the show talking to him and his buddy Duff. What a class act Joe is. I would reccomend his baits to anyone.

Posts: 734 | Joe doesn't make those. They are his friend Duffs. He was asking like $200 at the show. The are really sweet looking and have some special device to keep the lips on them. The only way to get a hold of him that I know of is through Joe at www.trueglide.com Send me a pm if you have any other ?'s
