Being from the KY part of WI, this game created a lot of angst for me. Wish they could have been in different brackets. KY played a bizarre game compared to their normal multi gun offense. Part of it stems from the loss of Bogans. They started to pick it up at the end of the first half and I think if he stayed in they would have started firing on all cylinders. Unfortunately he didn't.

I am afraid KY will not be able to put together an offense to face the winner in the other bracket, and move on, without Bogans playing. They have a good rotation but he and Estill were the key pieces for this years team. Oh well at least it will be an interesting game.

WI plays the ugliest game in the country and sure have won a bunch doing it.

Come on- you have to admit WI played a tough game- If they had carried the initial game pace- KY would have lost. But KY won, so congrat's to KY. Why do some sports fans have to be such SOB's?

George, if KY wins the whole thing, they will be the worst team to win a championship ever. Sorry, I watched that entire game and they are not that good. They barley beat Wisconsin a just above average team. But anyways congrats to kentucky on the win, you people need somthing to cheer for and it may as well be a stupid sports team.

26 consecutive wins, and you are going to call them the worst team to ever win a national championship!  They lost their star player in the first half.  Did you expect them to run all over a good Wisconsin team when Bogans was hurt?  Think how bad the Lakers would be without Kobe.

I agree with you, Kentucky didn't look as good as they usually do.  But to call them the worst team to ever win a national title is going a little too far (if they win it all).

I went to UK so I want them to win the whole thing. Although, Bogans should not be playing anyways. He has a 1.6 grade point average. When I was down there the local ford dealer in town gave cars to all the players. Is it like this at other Universities?

Definately was a frustrating game to watch for me. Started out good, but the KY defense pretty much tightened up in the second half, and shut Penny down. Harris did a great job penetrating, but too many missed free throws, and easy shots killed us. That big guy for KY, Ellis, is pretty good underneath.

I got a lot of satisfaction from the Marquette win. Wade was super in the second half, and Diener was solid again.

As much as I hate the Badgers, I have to come to their defence.
To call them an average team is a big mistake, back to back regular season Big 10 champions aren't an average team.
They forced Kentucky to play their game and with a few breaks they would have moved on.
I have had season tickets for more
than 25 years at Williams Arena, I
can count the number of back to back Big 10 champs on one hand.
Way to go Badgers, you represented
the Big 10 with heart and class.

So long Mr Penny, I'm glad I won't
have to see you anymore at the Barn!

KY/WI will be a distant memory after Wade, Travis, and the boys get done working Kentucky over. Unlike WI, Marquette matches up favorably inside and, especially without Bogans at 100%, Wade will get off even more than he did last night.

Yes, worst team ever setme. I will stand by my word. I dont even no why I am arguing basketball, It was the only game I have watched in years. I just cannot understand how people can watch this. Bring back the game of basketball, non traveling, smack talking idiots who throw a ball at a bottemless hoop. Great sport, its sad when the avearge college player makes more money a year than the average american. Yes it happens alll over and dont even get me started with it. Only the lucky teams dont get caught. Until the NBA gets a salary cap they are going to keep falling apart. So yes, if KY even with 26 straight with there best player, my left foot, Number 50 was the key, They are Still are overrated.... Sorry setme, its just my opinion against yours.....

Think my boys are going to shock the UK fans, they are not as good as everyone thinks. Bucky showed me they can be beat.

Was there ever really a doubt? I know all you Kentucky boys love UK almost as much as Muskie fishing, but that was a 100%, grade A, all-american a** whooping.

Next victim, KU. Collison and the other big dude underneath present matchup problems, but Marquette's guard play should be the difference.
