Maybe all the snow and ice up north makes for lots of idle time.

if you are talking about the Flaptail thread, because it's relevant to another conversation in the Tackle and Equipment Forum, and it was someone from S WI who brought it forward.

Lots of history in the Flaptail muskie lure evolution. You might be surprised what gems are stored in the archives.

There's no snow here at all, and all the Rhinelander lakes are wide open today. Sweet....

And as a result of the resurrection of that thread, a good friend is stopping in for a visit, some venison on the grill, and maybe even a little time on the water.

Worrall's Hideout is open for the 2013 soft water season......

Lucky man !

We've got 16 inches of snow over here and about a foot (or more) of ice on the lakes. Flowages are starting to break up but the lakes will have to wait another week or so for open water season.

We got lucky with the wind and rain yesterday. It took out the lakes overnight. Ice gear is going to be stowed this weekend! Looks like quite a few of the lakes up north are still locked up.

Then stand by, I guess!

Some folks are very interested in the Hideout opening up. Place to charge a boat, spend a night, and fish some pretty good water, while drinking our beer....if they don't have any. A few visitors even induce us to fire up the grill.

We got a bunch of snow too, and water. Luckily Sunday Lake is on its way back down now, really don't need the lake to come to me....
