| In my hunts for the esox, I'd say its more of an opportunistic bite. A sort of "get the hell outta here" strike. |

Location: Antioch, IL | Very cool. Are the legs made out of a softer material than the body? I would worry about snapping them off or the legs getting in the way of a hook set. No worries if they are soft and pliable.
There was one 10 day trip a few years back that every muskie we had in the boat was crapping Crawdad parts all over my carpet. We noticed this early and started running crankbaits hard into the bottom and grinding them all the way back. The fish were all over them. They were definitely targeting the mud bugs. |

sounds like that woulda been a fun outting. and yeah, the legs are soft plastic epoxied in the hard resin body and the claws are made of hard resin as well, but only float above the body just under the hook so it wouldnt affect the hookset. this is just a prototype of sorts so not necessarily in its final stage... here is a video of it.
