Posts: 28 Location: Sauk Centre MN | Anybody fish Mille Lacs last weekend? GusWeb and I are headed up for a three day trip and hoping for some luck. We landed a very nice 50" (see profile pic) last year same weekend in Isle bay. Edited by dmack 6/4/2012 1:15 PM

Posts: 225 Location: Nordeast Minneapolis | I am also interested in this topic, since I am the other person mentioned in the first post. Any word on the weed growth/water temps?

Posts: 1901 Location: MN | I didn't go in and look at any of my weed spots so I don't have much info for you there. I did check out a hump where the weeds normally grow within a few feet of the surface and they weren't up there yet but nice and thick further down. Water temps were 63-64 on Sunday. Caught a few pike, had 3 follows including a 50+ in first 5 casts, and saw another fish porpoise. If you try the normal early season haunts of Isle, Macs, Wahkon, Cove etc you should encounter fish. Whether they go or not, well that's muskie fishing.

I fished every spot mentioned over the last 3 days and saw a total of 2 or 3 muskies. Caught 0. Water hit 70 on surface yesterday

Posts: 28 Location: Sauk Centre MN | Well, the 90 degree temps and strong winds made this a tough weekend. The muskies seemed to be sleeping. Raised only a couple and only one actually took a swipe at a lure. Tough and exhausting weekend. (Walleyes were biting like crazy in the mud up north) Gus_Webb caught a real nice dogfish. I'm sure he'll post a sweet pic of it soon...

Posts: 470 Location: Blaine, MN | Anyone doing anything on the pond lately? I'm dropping the boat in this evening on the way to the cabin, I know the Walleyes are still pounding, but haven't been able to acquire much info on the muskies from any friends...

Posts: 13688 Location: minocqua, wi. | man i still love mille lacs ... hopefully heading there in a week or two. without the crows of people and sometimes fish ... LOL, it's relaxing plus the walleye and smallie action are both things that make for a pretty fun day of fishing. haven't contacted as many muskies as the heydays of the northshore but still worth chuckin baits there ...
