The championship this year will be held on Lake Bemidji on Tuesday July 3, 2012. Each school participating in this will have the chance to send two teams to the championship. If there are more than two teams from each school they will have to compete against each other on a local lake to see whiich ones get to compete on Lake Bemidji.

Last year we had participants from Bemidji HS, Brainerd HS, Buffalo HS, Farmington HS,
and Little Falls HS that competed in the championship. This year we are expecting even more high school anglers from all areas of the state.

If you are a high school angler or know of any high school anglers that may be interested or want to know more about this event please have them get ahold of Tom Keith. He will then in turn get ahold of their principal. Here's his email address:

Nice job on this guys! Talked with some Muskeis Inc members and they informed me that the average musky angler age is getting older every year. Nice job on getting younger anglers into the sport!

Shoot me an email and I will get you guys something for the tournament. I will also email Tom.

If you are the parent of a HS student in Minnesota, who fishes for muskies and wants to participate, have them contact their Principal. Our Chapters have a qualifying tournament and each Chapter is eligible to send two teams to the State Tournament. If you have any other questions, please contact me at [email protected]

gut feeling after 7 beers, let the 'Sconnie boys represent. If I reply after twelve beers, I'll probably get blacklisted!

Contact 1st Wisconsin. They are trying to set one up in Wisconsin. The plan is to have a "Border Battle" between the top team from both states. If you have more questions, contact me.

I've been fortunate enough to fish in the very first tournament and last years also. I would like to extend a huge thank you to all the people responsible for putting together this event!! I've had a great time fishing in it and am looking forward to fishing it this year!! Sadly it will be my last year but I think that this is a great program and would like to see it continue for many years to come! It is really nice to see a fishing program being started in the high schools! Thanks again guys!! Can't wait to fish it this summer!!!

Thanks Nick, you have done a great job coming out of that very competitive regional. We have something new this year and that is prize packages for every team in the state event. Finish off your Senior year strong and we will see you at the state event.

Can you tell me who "1st Wisconsin" is and how do I contact them? I'm sure my oldest who is a senior would love to do this. Thanks!
