Posts: 101 Location: illinois | Ended up buying a St.Croix top-n-tail for top raiders and smaller bucktails. Looking at getting a new reel for it. Torn between a 400te and a toro 60hs. Which one do you think would be better?

Posts: 101 Location: illinois | I have a budget for the TE, but wasn't sure if a faster ratio reel would be better for top raiders and Mepps Musky Magnums.

| All of the reels mentioned are nice reels, but if you have budgeted for the TE.....then definitely go with that. | |||

Posts: 309 Location: Elgin IL | The TE is a power reel that is not that fast. The Curado 300E is a perfect reel for that Rod...Will pick up line fast and will work great with surface baits,Twitch baits, small bucktails and small spring lures.

Posts: 245 | Can't tell you anything about the TE but i'd say go for the Curado, super reel for small lures.

Posts: 375 | another vote for the curado 300...it can handle a wide variety of baits very well...i sold the lunas that i used for years (which i never had any problems with) and it was a good move for me since i like the small low profile much much better...

Posts: 101 Location: illinois | Ended up getting a TE from bass pro cause it was $50 off with trade in reel. I might go back and pick up the curado for the top and tail and sell one of my 400b back ups.
