| I use the sink right now to test bouyancy. Fortunately the river that is done the street from me does not freeze and i can swim some baits. |

Location: Verona, WI | I get some really weird looks testing baits in a two acre drainage pond in the springtime after a big rain. I must look like a schmuck casting giant lures next to a sandbox. |

Location: Nordeast Minneapolis | I mostly use the utility sink in the basement, but I have tested lures in the tub, with mixed results. I'm still trying to track down someone with an indoor pool here in Minneapolis that would trade some lure-testing time for a couple lures, though! Especially when trying something new- made quite a few baits last year that I was fairly excited about that just didn't do what I wanted them to once they left the basement... :\ Now they just look pretty hanging downstairs! |

| When checking buoyancy I just use the sink. When actually testing lures I have used the bathtub in the past but now have gotten permission from the aquatic center here in town to test lures after hours. It is the same pool that Suick does all of their winter testing at (I know they were there a lot last year with the aquistition of Muskie Mojo).
I think most places would be very cool about testing. Whether it be the school, YMCA, or whatever is local for you. It doesn't hurt to call and ask. Usually I slide in for a few minutes while they are cleaning up for the night.

Location: Madison, WI | I made a little testing tank last winter out of an old sewer pipe drain, works pretty good, not the best but it will get you close!

| If I had the pic I would post it my kids love to head over to the woodieb8 shop and play in the pool they always find some lures to use and alot of times leave with some to test out on the boat and see how they make out fishing for the toothy fritters.

Location: Hugo, MN | I use the tank reservoir on a toilet for a quick bouyancy test when the garage is too cold to keep a test tank filled. In the spring I use a small pond across the street. I get a lot of strange looks throwing 12" baits in a half acre pond. |

Location: Bemidji, MN | The culvert where the schoolcraft river leaves plantagenet runs right next to my driveway. It doesn't freeze unless it is colder than -20. I get some strange looks when casting musky baits from the road standing in knee-deep snow. Great place to test lures all year. Scary thing is I think it's actually possible to CATCH a musky in there! |

| I was testing crank lips in late april under a bridge that had some open water until a MNR officer stopped by, there was no open season for any type of fish until May long. lucky he knew I was a lure maker and let me off the hook! |
