| I was a good boy..stayed home with my wife on mothers day weekend![] |

|
| The season for Muskies is still not open up here yet so we are still limited to fishing for Bass, Pike or 'Eyes. Being the kind of guy I am, I choose the Bass. This is because there are Bass tournaments this time of year and money to be won, or in some cases lost. This was a good weekend for me, Saturday, a 6th place at Balsam Lake with a 5# 12 oz Bass good for big fish of the tourney along with a good paycheck. Sunday, 1st place and a 5# 14 oz Bass good for big fish of the tourney and a better paycheck. I hope this bodes well for thewhole season.
Let Em Go...Let Em Grow.....Mike[] [] |

| I was a bad boy and fished both days. Saturday was spent trying to prop up my confidence cathing some "other" fish. Managed a few walleyes and a few smallies and one 32.5" muskie on a jig/leach. Sunday we did the Madtown chain. When that wind kicked up on Wauby I thought it was going to snow. Holy cow was it cold. Never saw a single fish on Wauby so we went to the lounge for a burger and headed off to Wingra. I had one short hit on Wingra and that was it for the day. Pretty sllllllowwwwww. |

| We picked up a 34" on Okauchee during the afternoon "Monsoon" on Saturday. 2 Large Mouth the size of your head also. Fished Pewaukee on Sunday with no action - 8 hours of seeing nothing except weeds. There's always next weekend and many more until 11/30/02. |

| Try this again.
I guess it doesn't want to work. It was nothing special. Just a big fat carp. Probably about the same size of Muskie Illini's big carp. Except mine was alive. |

| I made a wise decision (for once) and fished friday and caught my first of the year at 30#'s!(or was it inches?) Better than anything else I've caught this year I guess. |

| Greg M. and I went to Arbutus, both rivers were rising and it was post cold front and rain/mist to add to the experience.
Greg got a nice Smallie on a Rattle Trap and I had one small one follow a Undertaker to the boat.
Water temps were 47.5 - 49.8 [:((] Where is our nice spring weather...?????
