| Hi guys, I’m looking to stock up on split rings. I’m going with the Wolverine super rings. Should I go with the zinc rings, or the stainless rings? Thanks |

| I am not a huge fan of the wolverine rings. I use the #5 and #7 bucher rings or #6 stealth tackle rings. Just my opinion. These are stainless. |

Any form of tempered steel
Zinc plated tempered steel i believe still gives decent corrosion resistance
Stainless steel gives up memory and strength for corrosion resistance
I would Go with worth personally but i think thats because i find their site easier to use |

Location: US | I like bucher split rings. I've never had one open up. I won't use the wolverine triple rings. They open up way too easy. |

| As others have said stay away from the Wolverines, Some baits I buy have them on and I take them off right away. I get all my Split rings from Stealth Tackle. I use 5 ,6, and 7's depending on size of lure.

The ones you buy for musky lures are "heavy" or "standart"?

Location: NorthCentral WI | I like Buchers and Wolverines. Personally, not a fan of the Stealth rings. They are noticeably thinner and will spread when your put them on a bigger hanger like a screw eye. |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | I do use the zinc coated heavy Worth rings for Muskies. For bass, I do not use the heavy rings. It has been several years since I’ve had to order, so how they name them may not be accurate. Example they may be called magnum, heavy, 2x, etc. |

They’re ok if the hook hanger on lures have a large ring. A smaller hook hanger from lure gives the musky leverage to twist off, making hooking system tooooooo Rigid! I remove wolverine’s from any lures that have them! JD |

| Hmmm. Reading this thread, realize I have Plano box in the boat with dozens of different size split rings and it has been so long since I bought them, have no memory who made them. Well, sometimes ignorance is bliss. |
