Location: Madison, WI | Anyone running SI on a Skeeter MX1825? If so where did u mount the transducer? I attached 2 pics, should I mount it way down by the plug or up by the temp senser?

| I made a bracket to mount it to my outboard so I didn't have to drill in to the transom.

Mine is where MH47 says, dealer installed. If I'd have seen this while I was at home, I'd sent you a picture. It has to be level and have clear view left and right. If I remember, I'll take a picture and post it when I get home tonight.

Location: Madison, WI | So I got the new helix 9 out for its maiden voyage, and the SI and DI seem to work fine, however I now lose depth at speeds over 8-10 mph? I have the transducer mounted in the location of Dons in the pic above. My other transducer is glassed in and I never had any issues losing depth even at WOT. Any thoughts or help appreciated! |

Location: Madison, WI | I was not. After talking to a few people and reading some old forums, I just ordered a "y" cable to split my SI and utilize my other ducer that is still glassed in. Hopefully this solves my issue |

Location: MN | Yes sir, that should be the ticket for you. SI/DI transducers are designed for off-plane readings and are meant to be paired with a high-speed 2d transducer for depth readings on pad. Your SI transducer is likely leaving the water when on plane and since sonar does not shoot through air, you are loosing depth. |
