I think the spot is wayyy more important than the color but for what it's worth the last few yrs I have caught most of my fish on chartreuse or black blades, but that is pretty much all I throw so that makes sense!
hard to beat double bladed bucktails up there.. put em on and burn em all day... you'll get bit

Black/nickel. Rainbow/nickel. Black/smoke. Blue/nickel. Rainbow/smoke. All 8's, 9's and 10's.

As Bill Sandy said in a Musky Hunter episode a few years ago ... a lot of times I just tie a buck tail on and fish it until it falls apart.

Was up there last week. 8's and 10's black worked best followed by bright patterns

time frame you are going I'd give slow topwater a ton of time if you want big fish... also cooler temps will often push fish back into any available weeds, make sure you check sand cups! ... You are going at a great time for big fish you'll just most likely have to run around a bit to get out of the bloom.

I was in Sabaskong the first week in August and firetiger colors seemed to work for us. I didn't usually get too wrapped up with color, but it seemed baits with Chartreuse were working for us. I did catch a couple smaller fish on a black topwater on a rainy day, but otherwise most action came on firetiger Depthraiders or Kriscos, or black bucktails with chart. or flame blades. I had a few on a double 10 Spanky with black/chart tail and flame blades.

Of course, that was then, and the pattern will likely change by the time you go.

And as always, I would worry more about location, depth, and speed than color, though bright colors did seem to shine for us this year.

Up in the angle right now. Double 9's have worked very well with green or charteaus blade and a black skirt have been good along with orange and black suicks and big daddy
