What are your thoughts beyond the radical aesthetics? Not looking to start a pizzing war. I'm currently an eTech owner and happy. I'm impressed so far. But want to hear more.

I drove one at the Ranger Boats media shoot in Sturgeon Bay this fall. Impressive.

One caveat, it's still a 2 stroke. I think 'Rude needs to develop a couple 4 strokes to stay in the game.

I did not take a test drive, but I did take a ride in a new Ranger last fall that had a G2 on it, and it was pretty impressive to me.

Lots of power to push the big Ranger, and when my buddy put the hammer down on the St Croix it just took off and flew ( 64-65 MPH )

What is it about evinrude's two strokes that makes you feel they need a four stroke?

I love my 4 stroke would not buy any thing else . Change oil once a year and I'm good to go . Don't have to buy oil for a long fishing trip just fish. Extra space for whatever no oil tank. Best thing is no 2 stroke smell

Boat motor brands will always have their loyal customers. its kind of a ford chevy dodge thing. I'm a big evinrude guy and that will never change. 2 strokes have and will always blow 4 strokes away. my 250 evinrude will blow any 4 stroke out of the water. evinrude is changing the industry with the new g2 technology.

I stopped mixing gas/oil back in the 90s. I love my 4 stroke engines and won't go back.

Sure, the 2 strokes may "blow any 4 stroke out of the water", but who cares ? Not being a professional tournament fisherman, I highly doubt the additional 20 second or less head start is going to change my life.

There are 2 stroke/4 stroke debates all the time on the BRP site. They both have their place.
If performace is #1, e-tec is tough to beat
Right now all is Have is 4 strokes (1200 Doo, 900 Doo, Merc 60 4/st). Only 2 smoker is a CR500.
