Thanks RICH! She has been battle tested but it will soon be time to retire her. Hoping to upgrade in the next couple years....have to convince "the boss" first! Those new backtroller boats sure look nice!

I haven't actually caught a Musky out of it yet, but it's not for lack of trying. This year it will happen!

Wow, that Herter's guideboat is fantastic! Glad to see it so well cared for. Not being from Wisconsin, I've never seen the sense of row trolling, but always admire the patience and determination of those who do it.

My friend's grandmother, a tough old Italian lady, loved to row troll for pike and she did so from a wooden boat until the year before she died at 92 y.o. Now that's dedication!

Your boat has me thinking of all the winter evenings my brother and I spent thumbing through the Herter's catalogue, reading those wonderful descriptions over and over again, dreaming of the day we'd own one "just like that", whether it be a shotgun, a fishing rod or reel, a trap, or a bottle of scent. What a great company; losing them was like losing an old friend.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks guys. Wasn't much to look at when I picked it up. Plus, got a custom Herter's logo made for it.

NOT your typical muskie fishing machine! Maybe less efficient as a casting platform but really comfortable while trolling in 3-footers

1991 BW Outrage 17/2005 E-Tec 90hp

The pics was taken on splash day when freshly picked from South Carolina. Had since added a bow mount Minnkota and Traxtech rails to fit the Down-East.

A friend of mine has one almost exactly the same rigged with a jet drive Yamaha. Although not my preferred layout, we do launch and get into a lot of skinny water with it, places I could never go with my Lund. Glad you enjoy it.
