Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | It was a great day today on Pewaukee Lake inspite of some monster winds and waves. It was my son's and my best opening day in years! We boated five with my son's being the biggest at 36". We had two other legals just flat out miss the baits! It was great to be out on the water again! The twitched 6" Purple Slammer Crankbait was on fire! We also were part of a genuine "Muskie Parade"! I took my Esox Magnum up a creek which was barely wide enough to hold my boat. As we traveled up the creek, 10' in front of my boat were four legals leading our way with the biggest being in the lower 40's. They were not happy with us! They were quite beat up likely from going through the motions of spawning. The water temperatures started out at 48, and the highest that we found this afternoon was 53. Location: Sawyer County, WI | Sipped quality bourbon, watched the NHL playoffs, grilled steaks, and stepped out on the deck every now and again to watch the giant ice floe melting. It's now about 40 feet off shore, so I expect we'll have ice out sometime next week. Glad to hear somebody is catching some fish !

Location: Northern Wisconsin | Not fishing for muskies but hooked two smaller ones while walleye fishing north of HWY 10. Both broke the line next to the boat.

Posts: 109 Location: Pewaukee, WI | Got to try out my new XCEL Cam (like a gopro) Fishing both days over the weekend. Seen a bunch, got and lost one each day. Didn't think my buddy would get one within the first 10 or so cast's on Saturday so I didn't have the camera set up yet. Don't laugh at the video, upgraded to Windows 8.1 and got Pinnacle Studio 17 editing software, that will take a little to get use to! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX_9bVYD1ks&list=UUi0PuTv3PSHEchs1UM...

Posts: 98 | We managed one 35" about an hour and half into the weekend. Saw 4 others through the whole weekend. Nothing big and the wind sucked but it was great casting baits again. Edited by buddy lite 5/5/2014 1:08 PM

Posts: 325 Location: Otsego, MN | Boated a 31" and lost one more. Not terrible for the 4-5 hours fishing. Will only get better with rising water temps.
