| Farthest,smoothest between the new Lexa 400 ,Revo toro 60 and Calcutta 400d?
I haven't been around here much and don't know anything about the Lexa 400.
Some of the reviews I have seen say it doesn't cast as well as the Revo's or Calcuttas.
This will be used for 6 to 10" minnowbaits and cranks.

Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | I own a revo and love it. I think it casts GREAT! But that being said I have used the 400D, and not a whole lot compare to its casting ability. if your going to spend the money I would get the 400d. not to mention they are all around awesome reels |

| Have had an opportunity to use all three reels. Smoothest/farthest I would have to go with Calcutta D. Pretty much a toss-up regarding smoothness on the Revo vs Lexa 400 but with the size/weight consideration thrown in I could cast a bit further with the Revo than the Lexa 400. Lexa 300 would be a closer comparison. All three are excellent reels and you won't be disapointed with the performance of any of them. |

Location: N.FIB | I tried out a couple reels the other day on the river by me and the 400d I bought casted great,didn`t have my toro with to compare though,also bought a 6500 pro rocket black edition and put a power handle on the reel and that reel casted just as far maybe farther.I put a power handle on the pro rocket because the handle it came with was small and would be great for someone with very small hands or a child. |

| Cant comment on the Lexa but I have heavy use on my Calcutta and Revo Toro. They are both smooth and cast great. No backlashes with either of them. I would have to give the nod to the Calcutta D. While I have only used my Calcutta D for a year (30+ days of heavy use) it is rock solid and may be more versatile. |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | Both are good reels. I use Revo's for the most part. What I take notice of is when casting all day long how many times the other guys are digging out backlashes. I run 50's & 60's and accept one B/L a day, but does not always happen. I expect trouble free use if the reel, rod, lure combination is set up right. The one thing I really notice is when I grab that MH T.I. rod with a light bucktail on it I can launch it like it weighs 3 oz. |

Location: Western PA | For a minnow/crank application my vote would be the toro. Plenty of distance on the 10''ers and love the brakes for the 6''ers. Effective and easy to use. |

| Theoretically the lexa should be the best/ farthest. It has the largest spool diameter of the three. Haven't used one myself, revos get the job done just fine for me but when it boils down to it the lexa "should" be better/easier/farther. |
