I'm in construction also its been crazy busy. Doesn't leave much time for fishing. Then again fishing doesn't pay the bills.

BIGRED suck it up!!!!! Between insane work load (construction), and a 10 month old boy, I've literally gotten 10hrs of fishing in since OCTOBER 2012!!!!!!!! My gear has actual dust on it. Its cool thou, I'll make up for it this fall!!!!

I totally understand how it feels to not be able to fish. I barely fished when my kids were little. It was fishing an hour here, maybe two hours there with a few Saturday morning trips thrown in. If I wasn't lucky enough to live so close to some good Muskie lakes, I wouldn't have fished at all in those years.

But that wasn't nearly as tough as this year. Having to wait for my ankle to finish healing is beginning to wear on me. I only got two short Muskie outings in before my ankle surgery in early July. Luckily things are progressing now and I should be able to get back into street shoes by the end of this month. So, I am hoping to get out in early September anyway. But then my kids start school and fall soccer and that will consume most weekends until the middle of October - just in time for basketball and hunting season to kick in. Oh, well. Maybe next year....

I had the honey do list leading up to my Son's grad party, with daughter's softball tournaments thrown in for good measure. I finally got to go muskie fishing on vacation near the end of July. I had a bunch of follows over the week, and connected with a 47" fish on a backlash casted Bulldawg on the last day. I have a friend asking to go out with me, and might be able to get out this weekend, but like others have said Family first.

New house, puppy, and a baby due in Oct has led to less fishing this year, but I seem to enjoy it more when I do get out:)

Ben, You are going to be a busy man alright. At least we never had a puppy.

Lance, I hear you about the honey-do list. I was way to busy in June taking things off the honey-do list. And now my wife is creating another list for when I am physically able to do them. (Right now I am on the physically unable to perform honey-do list.) At this rate, my next fishing trip will be for Tarpon next winter.
