Posts: 300 | Jeff Hanson is great! My wife and I fished with him last year and had a blast. He really know what he is doing, and is willing to teach you everything you will need for the chain.

Posts: 688 Location: Northern IL | The Madison Chain is an interesting deverse fishery, controlled and interesting structure wise. However it's pretty cut and dry and you can never beat fishing where the politicians spend some of their time, at least when they're not leaving the state, ha ha! Jeff is defiantly your man, a very knowledgable fisherman! You will learn a lot and have a great time as well. The second thingI I'll add is be prepared to get out of "the weeds" if you want to get them throughout the season. Good luck! Edited by jerryb 5/19/2013 7:39 PM

Posts: 1036 | I went to Jeff Hanson's seminar in Milwaukee about how to catch muskies in pressured water. It was a WOW seminar. I booked him for early June.

Posts: 46 | All three of the guides mentioned above are great guys who will show you the ropes on the chain. Definitely worth the investment if you plan on fishing the chain on your own.

Location: Contrarian Island | all 3 approach the chain a little differently, there are days and times I'm sure each one has more action vs. the others... that's why if you really want to learn the chain the best, hire all 3... ; ) Lee likes to camp on less spots a bit more, Jeff likes to run and gun a bit more, Adam does a mix of both.. all 3 know how to catch them and will have you in the right spots... good luck... Lee guides out of state for a portion of the season. I think Jeff goes to St Claire mid summer for a few weeks.... Edited by BNelson 5/21/2013 2:32 PM

Posts: 944 | Thanks for the nice comments guys.. I guide full time on the Madison Chain and have guided here for 17 years- the only time I leave is when the water temps get to hot to fish here (over 80) Mid-July to Early Aug which usually is a bad time to fish the Chain anyway. Last season had to leave early July because of all the heat. Other wise I am available 7days a week all the rest of season. Thanks, Jeff Hanson madisonmuskyguide.com Edited by Jeff Hanson 5/21/2013 2:31 PM
