Location: MN | Based on my experience you won't find a "cheap" one that is waterproof, especially if the fit allows any pooling due to low spots. I wish they made better support systems for creating high spots to prevent that, but poles and such ain't cuttin it or are a pita. I'm currently jerry-rigging some flexible slats to go across in 3 spots to create the dome effect, and will then top it with my cheap cover ($170) I bought 2 yrs ago, and still plan to top that with a good wp poly tarp for extended periods. |

| I would recommend the Road Runner Boat covers over almost anything out there. It is Nice looking on your boat and they don't look like a tarp covering your boat. Made very strong double stitched. Option* Not a separate but a built in outboard cover,Water Proof, not water resistant, strap tie down system, and not to expensive and best of all they are not that soft stretchable polyester fabric, but a fabric coated with polyethylene which is 5 times stronger than any polyester cover out there. This will hold water like a pool, not leak all the water into your boat threw the stitching. Road Runner Sundura or Sunbrella. Good Luck JB |

By cover standards for a 600 denier, this one is at $179.00 which IS 'cheap' for a cover. Includes a ratchet tightening system and buckles, fits really well.
The Wal Mart and Fleet Farm covers are shot in a season. I used to buy those pretty regularly. |

| I'm on my 4th year with one I bought from Fleet Farm. Not the low end one but the mid-range cover. It's gray. I take it off when I'm towing my boat so it's basically used if I have the thing parked outside. The color has faded a little bit but it's still in decent shape. Paid around 90 bucks for it. |

| Nope. No leaking at all. I pulled it out of storage Easter weekend and had it parked outside so it got hit with those ice storms, snow, rain, etc. and due to the fact that I basically work from two parts of Wisconsin I couldn't make sure the thing was cleared of snow or ice and still no leakage. Again, this isn't the blue, cheap cover from Fleet Farm, this is the next step up. I think I would've had problems with the low priced one. |

| I have been thinking about getting an enclosed car canapy, one where both ends open, that way I can have it in my back yard and drive right through it. No more backing into an 8' doorway with a 7'-6" trailer at night.
Plus you can get them for about the same price as a lot of the covers and I feel it would be easier than putting the cover on and asking it off every time you use it. |
