| Well, the mud slinging is over and we have a new governor in Wisconsin. How do you see it affecting our fishing? |
|
| |
|
| We will see how the budget mess is handled, and how that effects the DNR's ability to work on our lakes and streams. At this point, things are pretty bleak out there, hope the economy continues to expand and help us generate some $$ to partially offset our monster deficit. |

| I think I am going to move to a different state.

| I believe I am correct in saying that the big cities of Milwaukee and Madison elected Doyle. If you can find a breakdown of the county by county vote in Wisconsin it would probably show Doyle winning less than 25% of the 72 counties in Wisconsin. Fishing will probably get much more expensive under Doyle but the real problem is going to be protecting our Constitutional rights. If Doyle gets his way only single shot firearms will be legal. Doyle is an extreme gun grabber an a serious threat to every hunter and gun owner in Wisconsin.
Perhaps the best solution would be that the northern 2/3 of Wisconsin to succeed from The big cities of the south. Maybe we can get the UP to do the same and form a new state without all of the big city bull.

| As least there is a Republican control Senate and assembly now so maybe Doyle wont be able to make silly laws like the "ban on ammo" that he tried in years past.
I think, Doyle will have no choice but to work with the republicans and maybe something will come out good for the outdoorsmen.
Never know....things might work out just fine![:)] |

| It looks like the changes in the State Legislature will keep the balance where it needs to be, I hope. Besides, now the man is Governor, he will be far more accountable to all the voters out there. If he directly upsets the Sportsmen, next election they WILL vote, and out he goes.[:0] |

| I live in the UP and we don't want ya. [:0] Don't take it wrong, we don't want downstate Michigan, either. We just want to hunt, fish and drink beer.[:)]

|
| Guess I was wrong. Southeast Wisconsin did not give Doyle a majority vote. My apollogies. So I'll have to put the blame on Madison.
Hey Ranger... How about if we make Mohawk the capitol as they already have the Whitehouse plus maybe I'll tell you where in northern Wisconsin I have put 4 fish in the boat over 30 pounds including one 40 to 45 pound class fish in the past 2 weeks. I know you have some good fishing in the UP but we have better. We all like to fish, drink beer and hunt or something is wrong!!!

| Well Bob, to be honest with you I moved here from downstate MI a couple years ago. Therefore I am not a true Yooper. (But I am no longer a troll, either.) So it's not up to me. Sorry.
You don't have to tell me your Lake X, but you may have to give me a beer if we meet.
Oh, and please continue telling yourself and others that fishing is better in WI. In which case I'll give you a beer if we meet.[;)] |

| Bob,
You should come to Canada you want gun laws, we are living proof that with such extreme gun laws theres no point in owning a gun, its a real shame. Fight the guy till the end.

| And just another reason I will never go back to that place called canada.... PS. there fising isnt that great either......
Jim
PSS. This is a JOKE. LOL. It has more to do than just gun laws. We have enough of them already, they just need to enforce them, instead of making new ones just too make themselves look like there doing something about it. Well I will just have to hope that with the republicans holding the house majority that somthing good will come from this but I highly doubt it. Doyle is going to reck everything this state is good for, and he will also take us to the #1 highest taxed state. Can you say Tony Earl all over again... |

| Illinois did not fare much better. We got a guy who wants to make our gun laws stricter, and charge $500 for our FOID card(firearms owners id, currently renewal costs$15). Wonder how long rod takes before he fires Brent Manning,(current director of the DNR, an avid hunter, musky fisherman, and republican). |
|
| |
|
| Illinois has firearms owner registration id??????
That is very, very scary!!!!!!! Who elects these IDIOTS?
Oh well at least it is time to go fishing, Hopefully this trip will be as good as the last few.
