Been very busy lately, but I still have made good progress on the new workshop. I'd love to see some of the other custom builders Mancaves so i can get some more set up and finishing Ideas. here is my work in progress.

LOL I used to drag my equipment outside on my driveway to make my Grunts because I had no room in the garage. Nice area! Wish I had a work space like that... Jealous!

Here's mine. No where near as clean as MS and I have a hard time keeping the kids out of there - one wants to use the drill on every piece of wood he can find and the other wants to draw flowers with sidewalk chalk on the floor. It's a 7' x 12' spot in the basement. No external venting so water based paints with a booth with any lead work done outside. Ceiling mounted dust collector to help with the dust.

Shane,

Good to see you posting. I've been off line and very busy as well. Love the shop, your drying wheel is very cool. How do you like the spray booth? time for me to get back in there.

LMAO Shane! Flowers on the floor are pretty as my daughter would say. WE have flowers all over the inventory area right now. Someday I will really miss seeing the flowers on the floor ;( Nice setup to you too. Anyone have $40k so I can add onto my garage?

It's been a long time since I even touched a bait so I am pretty happy to get back at it. The paint booth works great. The dryer is an interesting story. I used to have one made of wood but every once in a while I would get a tiny wood chip or sawdust in the clear coat and it would drive me crazy. So I made one out of PVC. That eliminated the occasional wood chip problem. The 2nd improvement was the motor. I had used a rotisserie motor for thie rotator for a long time but one night I had the motor give out while the rotator was loaded with baits. Woke up to a huge pile of epoxy on the floor and 8 ruined baits. So I added a heavy duty geared down motor from Fastenal and no problems after four years.

That one is a Jet and I got it from Woodcraft. However, you can buy them from Amazon and a lot of other places. It's nice as it is multi speed and has a timer so I can have it run during the night if I want it to continue to pick up dust in the air after I am done working. It uses furnace filters to filter the air. I also know that Menards carries a store brand one as does Grizzly.

Well I don’t have the sq ft as some, and can’t invite many down for a mancave party; nonetheless, ambitions are accomplished and hobbies enjoyed…
